The senate is supposed to represent to state government.

We elected Obama because of the things he campaigned on. Other than passing some form of health reform, what has he done? He has kept most of the Bush policies in place. He has probably done 5% of what he campaigned on, and attempted to do probably 30% of it (yes I just made those percentages up based off of my observations) which means he is a pretty ineffective president.

I dont think the president can understand why or how anyone could disagree with him. He seems to be a petty man, and I really don't think he has much more of an idea how to be president than he did when he took over on day one.

This is 101 stuffs, bro! The fact that you don't understand what the constitution requires doesn't make it any less true. The president has no right to advance his agenda. That is not his job and that is certainly not what our constitution envisions. Advancing an agenda is the prerogative of congress and congress alone.

yes, i have the republicans on tape talking about shutting down the government since before the 2010 midterm. i have them on tape threatening to shut down the government 7 times before they did. i have them on tape bragging and giddy about shutting down the government.

and then there's also the polling where americans blame them for shutting down the government.

No, he didn't lower taxes. Firstly, he raised taxes on things like cigarettes early in his administration.

He allowed the Bush tax cuts for the wealthy- and everyone else, to expire. He then kept the rates the same for the vast majority the same as they were.

He may have had some impact on tax credits. This is small stuff though. His campaign was so ambitious. His presidency has been mundane.

How does a paper document authored hundreds of years ago, bind people today that neither approved it or consented to it?

I agree that "the President" has no right to advance his agenda. Taken to a logical conclusion, neither does ANYBODY else if advancing their agenda agenda violates another persons right to be left alone.

The Democrats have shut down the government fifteen times. The Republicans have done it three times. In both cases, regardless of which party instigated the shut down, the congress undoubtedly had the right to do it. That is their power.
