i want to keep a plant for cloning so i dont need to keep buying seeds. i've been reading around and hear people keeping a mom plant for cloning forever. just wondering how do you do that? im thinking by keep it under 18/6 forever? but wouldnt that mean it will keep on growing?

It will continue to grow, so you keep it clipped down until you need the new growth for clones. I just keep topping it. I keep a mother from July each year under a flouro shop light (i have done 24 hour and 18/6 with not much noticable difference) to February for my outdoor grows.:peace:

How do you cut/top the plant so you can keep it forever ? I heard people get as much as 20 clones from 1 motherplant, but mine only has 4 branches :S = 8 clones ??

or...... if you dont want to keep a mother plant you can just grow a clone, get it good size, take a few clones, give the plant some time to recooperate than toss it into flower and your next batch is ready with the clones, do it all over.

Once your clones are in the veg cna't you just clone the clone?
Thats what he was saying. You have a mom.. you take a clone.. get the thing rooted and growing good and then flower the mom. New clone becomes mom.. Repeat as necessary..LOL
