Clones a week old today still no roots HELP

Hello all! Hope someone can help, I cut my clones a week ago today and I still have no root showing through my cube. Not sure if I have a problem or if I'm simply impatient. Also the leaves are drooping and starting to turn brown on the ends but are still moist and not all dried out and crunchy as a typical dead leaf would be. Please help any advice and input would be greatly appreciated.

I wouldnt worry for another week.
if you have read enough to understand the basics of cloning it will be hard to blow it.
Some strains I work with take longer.
one in particular consistantly takes its sweet time while others consistantly
perform quickly.

Any info I give is based on what I would be comfortable doing.
Please get other opinions.

In nature plants don't live in plastic buckets but at my house they do or they get the f**k out.

Pics are always helpful ;) But as above, there is no reason to worry quite yet. Also remember, that it is in a cube, so it could very well have rooted at this stage, but has not yet gotten around to growing the roots large enough to grow through the cube.

2 weeks is about right. This is how I do it in a nutshell. Had 100% on my last 3 clone batches of 25.

Take your cuttings from the lower half of your mother plant making sure she has had no nutes for 7 days.

Place them in your propergator or humidity dome. Spray the leaves with fresh water and cut the tips (30%) off.

Close your lid and stick them under 18/6 of cfl.

Do not open the lid for 4 days. Don't get impatient, keep it shut.

After 4 days, open the lid for 5 minutes and see if the leaves droop. If they do, spray them once and shut the lid. Repeat this every 2 days until the plants no longer droop after 5 minutes after you take the lid off. If the leaves do not drop then they have started putting out the start of roots. They no longer need the extra humidity.

Open your vents on the propergator permanently.

Until you see roots, Spray your rock wool cubes/jiffy pellets etc a few times with ph adjusted water every other day but don't soak them. This gives the roots something to aim for.

They key is the first four days. Don't open the bloody dome lol

Give them atleast ten-14 days bro.....as long as they're still standing upright you should be seeing some roots pretty soon......all clones are different, I've had some root in exactly 7 days, but the strain I have now takes about 10-11 days to root

"Cube" means you are using rockwool instead of jiffy pellets, eh? HINT: it is easier to see moisture content with jiffy pellets over rockwool. I use the larger size pellets as they fit snugly into a 9 oz. solo cup. It is important that cuttings in 'wool or a pellet are stable in the media. Larger pellets keeps the pellet + cutting package sitting snug so it won't wobble around. Using clear or white solo cups lets me watch the pellet/'wool moisture content as you want the bottom quarter of the pellet damp. This forces the cutting to put out roots to reach the water below. I usually see roots with my 2-inch pellets on day 7 or 8 in the dome. Smaller pellets will root a day or 2 sooner. I make sure to keep 1/2 inch or so of water standing at all times inside the dome as you want 100% humidity at all times. Good luck, BigSteve.

Thanks everyone for the great advice. I'm pretty sure I can get these suckers to go. I read a lot about cloning before I started but I guess I had a lot more to learn than I thought..lol I think my biggest problem was in the first few days, I kept taking the dome off to spray it because I had the tray just sitting in my veg room (against the wall about 4 feet from my lights) and the lid was going dry wayyyy to fast. I have since put up a dual bulb T12 and its holding moisture much better. I'll give it another week and pray they come back. I have 2 plants going from seed that I brought home from Jamaica, they look great and I'm dying to clone them but trying to wait till I at least have some success with cloning.
Ohh someone had asked about cloning gel, I am using rootech and I'm told that it works just as good as any other.. Opinions?

I use clonex routing gel but they all seem to do the trick.
Just don't get them too wet bro or they go soggy and shit lol. Good luck mate
