Talk about "wealth redistribution"? Wallmart depends upon the rest of us to carry the weight of their employees. It extorts communities for tax breaks and incentives that the rest of us have to pay for while - your Wallmart CEO keeps the difference. I thought you didn't like wealth redistribution - that CEO has his hands in our pockets in order to take up the slack for his not paying his workers a living wage.

The communities aren't forced to give incentives.

3M wanted to put a factory in the town I grew up in, the city was interested.

3M wanted tax breaks, the city told them to take a flying fuck.

Nope, nobody is "forced" to do anything - except when Wallmart perfers to tell it's employees to find state or federal programs to help them eat and live while they are paying dirt wages.

Where do you think the people that work at Walmart shop? The workers are part of the problem.

Anyone who has ever shopped at Walmart is part of the problem. You should start a world wide boycott.

I don't shop there. I try to buy American, not much American in Wallmart. I also don't appreciate their business tactics. Doesn't matter where their employees shop, what matters is that my taxes go to subsidize the health and well being of wallmart employees while Wallmart owners pocket what they should have paid their employees and rely on me to pay instead.

me either, eff walmart imvho... the eff'ed up thing is though that in a lot of areas, you have walmart, or you don't shop...
i know where my gf lives in maine, there's walmart 30 minutes away, or there's a target 3 hours the other direction.. i know this is true in a lot of the more rural areas in the us even today..
thankfully i live in the middle of suburbia and can be at 4 different malls all with 15 minutes, have target, loewes, home depot, etc, etc, all with in 5-10 minutes, so for me not going to walmart is very easy, and i don't do it as much as i can, but like i said, for a lot of people, not going to walmart isn't so easy..
