Yeah and making a decision to go to california is different from actually GOING to california.

**H@Ck ALLeRt**
Any info I give is based on what I would be comfortable doing.
Please get other opinions.

In nature plants don't live in plastic buckets but at my house they do or they get the f**k out.

goodluck dude a lot of us been there. i was in an impatient. where i was we did all the AA meetings and NA meetings. the AA ones were pretty legit, people losing everything.. the NA one was just out of control.. hookers and stuff lol. i did 90 days but i never went back to my drug of choice at the time. i keep it green :) .. i was fully funded by my state/county. if you follow through with it. like 2 weeks in its pretty good. you start thinking better, your sense of humor starts coming back.. its not bad. i had my guitar and played a retarded amount of baseball while i was there

Isn't this a drug you can practice a little(or maybe a lot) self control and gently ween off?
I'm about to have to do the same thing but with benzos. Well , that or go back to voodoo doc quack and reason for my script of xans back.
It's not like I'm able to do them for recreation with the tolerance I have built up and the street price of 5 bux a mg I pay just to use it medicinally. (jew just raised it to 7 a mg because they're "harder to get now" , I refuse to pay that kind of money)
All because my doctor wanted to try other "long term" solutions like effexor (which is the nastiest drug I've ever taken).
I've knew this one guy who was in and out of rehab constantly but he always went back to his meth.
You at least have the desire to quit and see it's a problem.
as stated above those compassionate bastards in the health field def want their money up front and it isn't cheap.
If they don't accept with a little willpower you'd think you could ween off.
Good luck and be safe.
Eventually Dosing down was my cure, Xanax.

Alright. Here's my two cents. I've never been an inpatient. I just decided to stop. This was before suboxone was available here. So I did a methadone clinic. Cheap. Not too degrading. But the key thing is - you gotta want it real bad. Otherwise you will find yourself going through another cycle. I'll say this - half the battle was talking the clinic into dosage decreases. They kind of look at you as a combination of hopeless case/cash cow.

We all feel for you TH, but you have to lift that load yourself. Good luck, you can do it.

I've been in college, had to take some psychology classes, and I've concluded that 's all bullshit anyway. No one can truly know you BUT you. They all have some sort of fucking white knight complex and a quest for some sort of Mother Theresa status. Freud was an arrogant misogynistic sex obsessed coke head. I have nothing against coke heads, but I really wouldn't ask them for advice on any personal issue, either. Good luck.
Yeah, I've heard about ibogaine..

It sounds terrifying.. I used to love tripping when I was younger. But now, even the most pleasant psychadelics terrify me.

I think a good old fashioned detox and rehab is the way to go.

I've never tried a rehab inpatient thing before.. I've been to 2 different psychologists, a psychiatrist, several different NA meetings, deleting numbers, leaving town for a week, blah blah. I haven't tried rehab yet. Hopefully it works. I'm getting too old for this shit.

Texas hank -- Have you looked into crisis centers, My state has several off them , their funded usualy by churches and can help set you up with a inpatient and or outpatient, Their clients are fast tracked into them as well as they know all the funding tricks and whatnot.

I honestly enjoyed inpatent rehabs , 3 hot meals a day, Gym, testosterone kicks into high gear around a bunh off dirty chicks

It all boils down to you and you.
When I got off H in the 70s I had 3. Me Myself and I.
You have to want it and willing to start living and eating a healthier life style. Get good sleep
And above all lots of walks.

Yeah, I can apply for state funding.. I gotta go see this counselor at 7 am tmrw. They open at 8 and see you on a first come first serve basis.
I'll go see what they can do.
Wish I just had the money. I don't wanna have tax payers pay for my problems..

Wish they had a half assed rehab.. give me a 6x4 room and don't let me out for a month.. let a friend bring me 1 meal a day.. something like that.

Ill go see about funding tmrw.
Better than us paying to imprison drug users...

Ultimately it comes down to you. Rehab can give you a nice safe place to get through being sick and get started working on what causes you to use but you have to stick with it when you get out. I do believe that figuring out the why is supremely important to recovery.

Good luck!

Couldn't have summed it up any better. It's you that has to want a better life...your use has nothing to do with anybody but yourself and whatever it is you can't except that keeps you using. The lifestyle I lived about 7 yrs ago is in no shape or form close to the way I live now being clean.

as for walks, before I injured myself I would bike 40 + miles a day...it allowed me to think and keep that energy that easily could have gone towards drug use again at bay. Now my thinking is even though I hurt like a sob, to be addicted and injured would be complete hell. I'll take pain over an addiction any day!

i drank from the time i was 15 to 42 yrs old. was a painting contractor and would stop at the liquor store before i stopped at the paint store or went to the job..on the end i was drinkin two fifths of cheap vodka every day and i was nuttier than a fruit cake..went to several rehabs in order to stay out of the big house...i remember gettin thrown out of a detox center for having a pint in each of my boots..did some really crazy stuff. spent time in jails and prison,etc,etc..unbelievably so,i finally called the cops on myself and they took me to a hospital...spent 30 days,(i was scared to leave, knew i'd get drunk)..got introduced to aa while in there cause meetings were mandatory...make a very long story short,i'll be sober for 20 yrs in july this year...i owe it all to the wonderful folks i met in alcoholics anonymous.....the hardest part for me was admitting that i needed help..i'd wish you luck but luck doesnt have anything to do with this...the choices we make determine what our life is like....we create our own results...
