would a 150 watt hps work for this size tent?

I am planning a 3 plant scrog grow. I will be using a tent that is 36x20x60. So my question is could I scrog 3 plants in that size tent with just a 150 watt hps? Or would I be better off with a 2 plant scrog in a 24x24x60 tent?

Yes ...but I don't think you will like the results, do it right first time, hit up a 400w MH/HPS and a 36x36 tent ...then you never look back ...LOLOLOLO!!!

yes I was thinking that too. I was also thinking a 250w inside the 24x24x60 tent for 2 plants scrogged?

With a 150w, I'd probably go with just doing 2 plants in either tent (just me personally). One thing to consider though, the 36x20x60 would give you a little more upgradeability simply because it is just barely wide enough to fit a decent cool tube into. No way you could fit much into a 24" wide tent if you might upgrade your wattage in the future.

thank you fr the rely. I am just growing for fun, a hobby if you will say. I a looking to scrog 2 plants. I am not looking t go big on this. I was thinking 2 plants in a 24x24x60 tent with a 250w hps would be good. I know if I had a 36x20x60 tent. I would have room for 3 plants.

I agree, The More Light The Better.:bigjoint:

Calculate the Lumens per square foot with what ever light you want to go with.

2000 Lumens Sq. Ft. is the Low end
6000 Lumens Sq. Ft. is the High end

Don't forget about the "Inverse Square Rule"
The Farther away the light the more Lumens drop off.

Good Luck on Your Grow

6000 Lumens Sq. Ft. is the High end ...as an example most 24w cfls kick out 1200-1500 lumens psf
