Why do ALL the LED grows look so lame compared to HID?

In nature plants don't live in plastic buckets but at my house they do or they get the f**k out.

you are looking in the wrong places.. and made the wrong purchase. Educate yourself before diving in and paying too much for low quality lighting.
Your issue can be grower error. first time growing with led there will be a learning curve. Plants feed at a different rate under led and quality led panels need to be further away. at the least 18 inches from canopy. Having them too close can stunt growth. look at everything else too, nutes, health of plants, environment, etc...

These were growing using LED tech that is now slightly outdated. Better results than I get from a bare 600HPS. More frosting, denser and more stink than running the same clones under HPS. They also seem to finish faster. These are not high yielding varieties these are OGs. Kandy Kush, OG18, Cannalope Kush, Buddha Tahoe OG, Kosher Kush and Sour Kush all done in recycled organic soil. I am sure there are varieties, growers and systems out there that would outyield me using these same lights.

I feel for ya, it sucks but nothing will be beating a good ol 600 or 1000 watt hid rig thats given the same veg time any time soon. Its nice to grow a pound with 4 plants and a 4 week veg. Live and learn my friend

keep in mind that leds only use a fraction of the power of hids. And by power i mean the real power not the advertised power. Ive gotten very good yields with leds and really good quality bud. You just have to know what you're doing. with that being said I use hids in winter when the temps are low and leds during summer.

I don't know one person including hid growers that veg for less than 8 weeks. I even know some hid growers that veg purple kush for 3 months and get small yields. they rock 10 1000's in one room and 4 600's in another room. most true kushes grow very very slow. no matter what lighting. The whole tga crew rocks all 1000's they veg for 2- 3 months

600- 700 watts of quality led to equal the yield and coverage of a 1000w.
Never heard of 12/12 from seed? That should be a dead giveaway. 4 plants, 4 week veg, 4 oz each = 1 pound with a bad grower under 1000 and a decent grower under a 600, easy as it gets

1000 watts real led would be way better than 1000w hps. Leds only output the lights that the plant actually needs like reds, blues, etc. Hps wastes some of the power for the greens, yellows that the plant cant absorb.

My 600w horti setup is in a Rubbermaid...haven't felt the need to use it. The radiant heat emitted was leaving my herb smellin' like hay. If I lived in snow would be nother' story I'm sure..

the tga guys get 10 zips per plant in 15 gals and veg for 2 to mostly 3 months.. they are doing a vs led now. but using lush lighting / we-shine crap. with 4 week veg and 4 zips each only sativa doms can do that. an ibl master kush purple kush at most will get 1 zip with a 4 week veg. I have 1000w vs par t5 andled in my journal entries.
12/12 from seed is sprouting a seed in 12/12 . its to immature to start flowering right away. it will still veg for 3-5 weeks until mature enough to flower. They will stretch like the first 2 weeks of normal flower. (twice as much as in veg) . Its for people who want a perpetual grow with only one room or just trying out a new strain as quickly as possible.... Theres a huge thread on it in the indoor section thats been going for years,

Genuity>> 360w led and 24w uv floro tube. Commercial led lights did leave me wanting more. DIY using good components made a big difference.
Sure, you can veg for 3-4 months under hid but not with 1 light. 1 light in a 4x4 tent with a 4 week veg to get 4 ozs per plant is all u need, indica doms with a 9 week flower. Until now iv never vegged more than 4 weeks but I decided to tinker with supercropping so im gonna veg til maybe week 7 with a blue og and a ultra sour so 2 more weeks n il flip. Threw in a critical + that I topped UB style that will only get 4 weeks veg just to fill a corner.
