A51 IMO isn't the greatest, the all white spectrum isn't great for flowering, if I could afford it I would go with the apache AT600 but its like 2500$

I have been using the Blackstar Chrome 180s in my (2) 2x4 tents. One tent has 2 180s and the other has a 270 and a 180. All are Chromes from Gotham. 2 180s is a great setup. They have done a great job for me. I started with the 270 in a 30"x30" tent and changed to the 2 - 2x4s. I have grown at least a dozen varieties including some autos. I have even added some autos at 12/12 just to fill the space. If you have bad results with these lights, it is your fault. The lights are excellent.
I use a BlackStar Chrome 270 and I pull 50 to 80 grams trimmed, dried, and cured per auto. I'm happy with it.

Dawg sorry to tell you but theres better LEDs out there. Just because you get nugs doesn't mean you didn't over spend on a light that barely can cover a 2x2 area.

all an area 51 led is is a Chinese LED that use specific parts, pretty sure every LED company specifies their LEDs and not to mention A51 does not have a plant in china so they just get a factory like this one for KIND LED (cidly) to assemble their LEDs according to specs. Just like EVERY SINGLE CHINESE LED MAKER! IF YOU WANT A QUALITY LED BUY APACHETECH LED! NOT AREA 51 CHINESE LED!

You mad ? I think a51 is more expensive than most china LEDs because it is reliable, definitely wont break, and it has a warrenty. Most china leds have no warranties and they break after a year. It takes time but they all break. And the ones that do have warranties, send you the broken part and expect you to dissemble/resemble it

I use Chinese LEDs but honestly I am sick of people thinking their Chinese LEDs are so much better than another they are almost all same lights they use (they are assembled in the same place by the same people just use different items to assemble the product.) Area51's white only spectrum is gimp at best.

And you're wrong about warranty my Chinese LEDs have a 3 year limited warranty, and I have already RMA'd one of the lights that I use with no problems they even sent me a replacement before I sent my light out. gothamhydro you guys are the best.

I thought white spectrum covered the whole spectrum, just like the sun, this making it better than just having 2100k 6500k

Its a gimp way of having a larger spectrum, the whole point of having a LED is so you can have specific wavelengths of light at a higher energy these just shoot 1 type of light most good leds are 6 band , 2 red bands 1 UV band 1white band, and 2 blue

Ah I see what your saying, I guess that just leaves it up to peoples personal preferences because its hard to tell which one would actually yeild more

Clearly you have an inferiority complex about this and are just trying to make yourself feel better about what you purchased.
Keep your drama to yourself and off of other peoples threads.

You just proved our point, cheap Chinese LED's aren't reliable, and die quick deaths.
Thank you.

Nah my LED was defective and the new one has worked and this is my second run. I really like my LEDs but I will be buying the 500w LEP when it comes out as a main light source and another ion 8 from lighthouse . I went away from using HPS I had a 1000w HPS but my LEDs are doing just as good and less energy use.

Yodaweed I have a question on the ion8. It's advertised as 1546w LED panel with UVB. But at the bottom of the web page it says the actual wattage draw is 405w, is this correct? For $2149.00
that seems like a lot of money for only that many actual watts. Please chime in brotha.
