Ok, So i had two bag seed plants. Both the same exact unknown strain. But they looked exactly the same, germed, veg'd and flowered all at the same time. I just had to kill one because it was a male. Now the second one hasn't shown yet...

The male was starting to form clusters of three or more balls at the nodes.

The other has a start of one calyx or ball, too soon to tell.

Same to assume its a female because of the length of time to show sex? Ive heard that females take more time to show. Just not definite yet. No pics just yet. Still at work.

Hope it's a girl. I've done two grows. In both cases, my females showed sex first. But most people say males show first, so I guess I just had strange luck. Time will tell. Good luck!

Hey Vostok, I want to order some seeds, but don't trust big brother. To illustrate, a couple of years ago, I bought some Moso Bamboo seeds from a guy in India. Within a month, I had a federal agent calling me and trying to come to my house to confiscate my seeds. I didn't get in any trouble, but was warned not to do it again. If they are this keen on a person ordering bamboo seeds, why should I think i'm safe ordering cannabis seeds? I'm especially worried because I feel I may be on some sort of 'watch list' now.

This is why I fear ordering seeds. And why I ask bagseed questions. Of course EVERYONE knows they should order good genetics to get a good grow. Yea, obviously one less egg in my basket. And obviously I wasnt looking for the genetic answer of "order seeds". It was a question of showing sex between males and females. Not butt hurt here by any means, but come on!

What am I going to do when its a male Vostok? Well im going to kill it and start again! And if the next is a male, start over again. It will be a viscous cycle of learning experience. I know as much as to have multiple plants to increase my odds. And right now odds aren't in my favor. Shit happens, clean it up and move on.

And from what I understand, isnt Bamboo becoming an increasing issue in the States? Its an invasive species right?

I think you meant to reply to vostok about the 'order seeds' comment. But yes, bamboo is considered invasive, but my point is that big brother knows what we are doing.

Yes, your right i did. I keep forgetting about the multi-quote option. So because its invasive its highly regulated and seemingly more "dangerous" than MJ? Ive never heard of someone getting a FED phone call for some MJ beans.

I think everything is highly regulated. Probably the reason nobody gets a call for the MJ beans is because the DEA would rather bust you once you've got a nice crop growing. But I'm probably just being paranoid.

Yea right! I just dont have many fears when it come to MJ, with how its being less regulated these days and states are starting to finally cave in. But still, its still a federally illegal thing. And when it comes to using the postal service, shipping and all that. Im a little bitch. haha. It scares me to order. I need to find a friend in a "legal" state to send me some beans. Problem being. I know no-one.

But there's nothing to worry about. If beans get confiscated nothing happens to you.

I flower 4 plants every week, grown from seed..from my experiences its random..I have females show first and males last sometimes males first....

LOL! The other day, a neighbor of mine had his go-kart stolen. I have cameras all around my house, and sure enough, I had footage of the thief driving off with the go-kart. I had a sheriff come to my house to see the video. So there he was in my house, two feet from my grow room. It was fun.

Thats a pretty epic, almost shit my pants moment. But hell if your confident in your stink removal why not right? Hell, he wasn't there for you. Thats a beautiful sight right there Bamboo Farmer!!

I wouldn't say that I breed but I do create my own seed and I do have males/moms I keep around for that purpose and back crossing
I only grow landrace sativas

You can get great bud out of bag seed though..many of the greats came from such

Yes i do agree, i just need a little more experience and upgrade my setup a little. But I ONLY save what i find in good batches. and thats usually one or two, if any. I would like to breed eventually, but I need more experience from successful grows. Which I currently do not have.
