Anyone know what the problem is?

Don't worry about it appearing to get worse, once the damage is done it takes a few days to show the full effect of the original damage. So they really don't look that much worse in that last pic. Looks like classic nute burn to me, cut down drastically and just keep a close eye on how it reacts.

haha ya I know everyone keeps telling me diff it's confusing as shit I just don't want to kill this plant even tho I more seeds on the way. But I think it should be ok, I'm flushing it out now and will slowly add nutes late tonight or tomorrow than go from there and see if it gets better, it doesn't look it's gotten worse from last night which is a good sign. Haha ya I thought I'd go all out and try out hydro first since it's the fastest growing but the hardest for a first time grower lol. I'll get the hang out it tho and do fine with the news seeds I get. Thanks for all the input guys. Happy growing!

I'm doing hydro for my first ever grow
and the guy who helped me to set it all up
says my buds are bigger than any he's grown
in 4 years of growing.

i'm a nube
but a well read nube.

Advise about allowing temps to drop below 55
or that 80's is optimal
or pH should not exceed 5
is straight nonsense.

just verify what you're told
from a secondary source.

Haha ya I've done a lot of reading and will do more it's just hard and confusing when people say so many different things in what it is, I trust ur judgement u seem to know ur shit, ha ya I would to want my temps any colder than 65 during 12/12. I been trying to keep it around 75 F but the new bulbs I got t 6500k but don't produce as much as the 5000k ones so u put one of those into the mix to get more if a spectrum and heat it up a bit in the room. So do u honestly think I nute burnt my plant or is lacking mag? I'm flushing it out right now and late tonight or tomorrow morning I'll slowly start adding the nutes back to it and keeping th pH at 5.8 and let it go up 6.2 to get the nutes it needs. I dunno what else to do haha. Hopefully my new seeds come in soon. What kinda hydro system r u growing in?

One more thing what book do u read from about growing I was looking at some on amazon but there's so many just didn't know what one to purchase. If they book u have and read on get good reviews I'll get it to get some actual facts from a guy that has grown for years.

What I think....?
You said the original damage was probably due to stress from transplanting....???
By transplanting, I assume you mean putting the rockwool or rooting sponge into the pots of hydroton???

To me the old damage looks like nute burn -
but it's very minor and I wouldn't worry too much about it.

The new 'damage' (damage is an inaccurate description because it's so minor) looks like magnesium deficiency.
THE CANNABIS GROW BIBLE by Greg Green has a page with drawings of 11 fan leaves.
One is a healthy, normal example.
The other ten are drawn to show how different problems make the leaves appear.
MAGNESIUM DEFICIENT is the only one where tiny bleached spots are SOLELY on the edge serrations of the leaf.
The others have random light spots, or faded tips....
But I'm new to this....
I can only tell you what my books seem to indicate.

ALSO....
I honestly believe that, sometimes, doing nothing is the hardest thing.
Waiting and watching, when you suspect your plant may have a problem,
is difficult and frustrating.
I'm saying all this because I think that your plant has very little wrong with it.

The plants we see on sites and in books are perfect examples
often they are expertly pruned to exclude any damaged looking leaves
or even improved with photoshop manipulation.
Blemishes and imperfections are normal.
Specially for novices, like the two of us.

Your plant looks fine, to me.
Why not sit back and give it time to sort itself out...?
Often this is the least worse option.

20 years ago I had an ED ROSENTHAL book.
It was a Grow Bible type publishing.
Now I have a similar book by GREG GREEN.
It excels in some areas but isn't very good in others.
Example - Green explains EVERYTHING one could need to know about LIGHT
but he says little about acceptable EC/PPM levels.

(Most of my knowledge has come from a RIU forum member who has mentored me through my first grow,
He has held my hand and walked me through some situations that the books didn't help).

I will not buy another 'GROW BIBLE' type book.
The internet is full of articles and discussions that explain everything.
I would like books that deal with specific areas
Like Robert C Clarkes Cannabis Ethnobotanic book
(scientific theory behind the evolution and spread of marijuana
and the theorised history of man's usage of the plant).
And books that deal with MAKING CONCENTRATES.

Ha I wish I could say it was from transplanting from rock whool but i originally had it in a coco medium then like 1 and half weeks from seed I transplanted it in the top fed dwc system that it is in now, i know that was a BIG mistake there and will never do that again lol. I always learn stuff the hard way. But I'll just wait it out let it flush out till tomorrow morning than start adding small amount of nutes to it and see how it does from there I'm sure it'll be fine it's just a noob mistake on my part. As far as books go ya boos on growing it is hit or miss I've heard and read about ill just keep to reading on the intetnet like I have been

It has been flushing for 24 hours no change so I guess that's a good thing lol, but I added nutes but only the amount for a seedling and see if it'll stay the same or get worse after a few days, if it stays good ill up the nutes again. Happy growing and thanks for all the info!!

Why did you change from the coco to the hydroton...???

My buddy told me that cannabis plants grow faster it actual hydroponic systems with only water, even tho coco is a type of hydroponics cuz it's not dirt. It was a rookie move on my part that I'll never make again haha.

What's your set up?
(size of area, lamp, hydro system....???).

I always thought that HYDROPONIC referred to an IRRIGATED system as opposed to a HAND WATERED set up....?
You could have a SOIL HYDRO system
but most choose to use a soilless medium for hydro.

I have a 4 x 4 tent with a Wilma Big 9 (x 18lt pots)
and a 8 x 4 tent with a Wilma 20 (x 6.5lt pots).

When this crop is harvested I will use the 4 x 4 as a veg tent
with the Wilma 20, and a 600w Metal Halide
And the 8 x 4 will be a flower tent with the Wilma 9 (which takes half the space - 4 x 4)
and 4 to 6 plants in individual pots - Not sure what exact system I'll use, yet.
This will leave about 2 x 4ft free to he a dehumidifier, air circulators AND allow the plants room to breath.
My 1000w dimmable lumatek, with 1000w HPS in ventilated hood
and a 600w will light it.

Oh nice sounds like you have a pretty sweet set up and lots of plants. If had the room id grow more but i only have one plant so far, i finally got my seeds in yesterday i got 5 auto flower feminized seeds so it should be a pretty easy grow, but i want the plant i have now to get a lil bit bigger and almost in flower to start those. No yeah a coco medium is a hand fed hydro i guess you would say, think its the easiest for hydro growing, but i was reading on here and growweedeasy.com that its grows faster if u grow in water and in a top few DWC system. I just have a small little room its 4ft tall and 42 inches wide and like 28 inches deep. I don't have a tent but i really want to get one but it'll have to be a small one or i could get a taller one and put it some where else, i probably wont grow anymore than 2 plants at a time, cause i'm renting the place i live at if i owned it, it would be a different story haha. But for now i have to have it pretty small and stealthy aka micro grow. Im using CFLs 2 45W 6500K bulbs and other smaller 5000K too for lighting i would use a HPS but those run really hot i dont have the room for a ventilation for that and i dont want to pay the extra electric costs for it. I want to invest in a small LED panel i've read the work pretty good but spendy, but hardly use any energy and produce hardly any heat at all less the CFLs im using now. Im growing in a Top-fed DWC system i'll take some pics of it later today and post it on here so show ya. Just using a poor mans system to grow this plant to keep it cheap and stealthy. I fim'ed my plant last tuesday i just dont know if cut it right, like low enough so make its 4 colas, i need to LST it too to keep em short and bushy. I'll post some more pics of the plant tonight as well. Do you have any pics of ur plants and set up?

I put in some Epsom salad to my hydro system and they plant seems to be doing better I think it was just a mag def. I'll see how it looks later today and go from there and might up the nutes a lil more. I've have the pH around 6.1 just so it can absorb the mag
