Nitrogen probablly dumb Question

4 weeks into flower with yellowing leaves, think it is a nitro defect, but do you get the same defect with too little nitrogen as you do with to much? Because I am nuting very lightly on every other watering, and the problem started a few days after a no nute water.

Google search helps me a lot with questions. Not knowing any info about your set up, environment or....really anything helpful..... I'll try to help

Typical signs of not enough nitrogen start from the lower leaves, then works its way up. The plant uses up stored Nitrogen in its fan leaves to help drive bud production, as it does this it looses the ability for photosynthesis, which in turn lowers yield.

Typical signs of too much nitrogen are very dark green leaves, with the leaves (particular around the buds) have a "claw" or start to curl down and/or twist.

Advice? Google
"Nitrogen deficiency cannabis"
"Cannabis too much Nitrogen"
and
"Cannabis not enough Nitrogen"

Those are the same searches I have used and gain much information about the topic.

In school I had a teacher who had a theory on "Dumb Questions"

"It's easier to answer a dumb question, than it is to fix a stupid mistake."

;-) No worries mate, ask away.....just search a little more before asking eh?

Happy Growing !!!

Sounds like too little nitrogen to me, doubt your over feeding them every other water unless you're really over doing it when you use them. Try increasing your ferts or doing it with every watering.

I personally prefer to give them nutes every watering and adjust the dosage based on frequency. Not sure if it matters or even if thats the best way, thats just the way I've done it and it works well for me.

You had much nicer teachers than me mine always said there are no dumb questions just dumb people....guess thats why NM is ranked the lowest state for education eh?.

I apologize about the searching thing everything I have read just matches nitrogen with yellow.

So glad I could help !!!!!!

Man it is all good ! I'm glad I could help at least a little!

I like to make moonshine and I tell you, on those forums no one, and I mean NO ONE wants to help or give out pointers thinking you will make better shine then they will, like its some sort of competition.

I do not feel this way and we should ALL help for ONE LOVE to have the best ganja around!

Pics would help... If its blotchy yellowing that's nitrogen def. If the leaf tips yellow then brown. That's phos def. If only the edges are yellowing. That's a mag def. If it starts yellowing from the base of the leaf that's an iron def.

I had all that researched I just didn't understand the difference between a def and a burn so i believed that caused my to ask the question in the wrong manner in the first place, I do greatly appreciate the informative reply though.

nute burn usually starts with reddish tips and than moves along the edges inward. defs are yellow and brown

Dude that's one sweet little setup you have there.
And is that a sticker of Grandpa Munster?
Thanks! :-) Nothing like Ol' Popcorn Sutton but it suites my personals needs well.

I think so, or a guy that looks like him
It reads "Grandad's Super Powered Rocket Fuel"

Pretty potent stuff too, it comes out at 80-87% (160-174proof)
After I mix it down to about 40% (80 proof) I have about 3 gallons for $40. ;-)

I have a love for good moonshine. Brewing good shine is right up there with growing good herb.
I agree! I'm making a run tomorrow. Something about consuming what you produce with your own hands makes it double the pleasure. Do any shining yourself Monkey?
