Spearing multiple indoor plants

Well I just harvested yesterday, and I HAVE TONS OF TRIM. Frankly I want to limit waste from the plant that goes into keif/hash aka popcorn buds. So as I replanted some clones into tubs in the flower room after cleaning today. I thought I would try "spearing".

The goal is to have one giant fuckin cola all the way up the plant, although I'm assuming how this is done, It may not be correct. I assume by only leaving the top shoot, and trimming off all side shoots, and leaving just the fan leaves down the plant this will work? Anyone who has done this if you have any help to offer, i would love to hear it. The idea is more thick dense cola's (1 per plant) and space efficiency do to limiting all the side growth, I can fit more plants in.

Sounds like a terrible idea. I doubt your increase (if there even would be any in doing this) to the main cola would make up for what you're chopping off on the sides.

If you want just main colas, try the sticky at the top for topping to get 2 main colas. I would think you'd get much better yield going this route.

Who knows though, give it a shot and see what happens.

This is the dumbest idea ive ever heard of.. light penetration bro it won't work the way you think it will.

You'd deffinatly have to side light it. Unless you have huge lights the real effective penetration through the canopy is 12 to 16 inches usually. Again depending on size of the lights and that's with hid, CFLs have even worse penetration. You're not going to get good growth at the bottom if you plant is real tall.

Try taking a clone from the top of a plant at about 8-10" long, let it root, then flower it. That might work, but I'm guessing really.

Been topping, cloning, etc for a year now. I'm trying basically to cram as many plants into my flower room as possible, and will be trying to super size the main cola's of each plant, whilst limiting all that shitty ass under-developed popcorn bullshit by not having huge bushes fighting for light. I'm running a 1000 w hid.

That being said, its basically a SOG combined with lollipoping, And side trimming any shoots.
Ill try to illustrate whats in my head with paint shop... I apologize for the quality.

I think lollipopping is a bad idea in general. Why dont you just start flowering them sooner so they finish smaller?

If you keep them in the 18-24" by the time they are finished you should have no problem with underdeveloped bud on the lower branches with a 1k light. I'm only running a 600k light and have it 24" above my mango plants which are about 20" tall and even the bud on the lowest branches the buds are pretty dense and will be worth harvesting. You can see pic in my journal, I have them crammed together pretty close together as well and lower buds are still developing just fine.

Do you have any pics of your last grow and how you had the plants set up?
