1st grow set up need advice. Please.

Hi all, starting my 1st set up. Need advice if one fan is enough for this set up? I was thinking running Filter>duct>Reflector>duct>Exhaust fan.
haven't bought the ducting yet.. how long of a duct should I buy? I figured I need to buy two pieces.
Below is what I purchased already. Eventually upgrading to 1000 watt but that'd be far from now. Room temp is around 70-75. Although summer could run 80-85. Uploaded a pic for a brief summary of my purchases. In case ya didn't wanna go through all the links. Thanks!

your room where you're gonna keep the tent is going to get hot if you don't open a window or have an exhaust fan, especially if its 70 to 75.

I do have access to windows. Could I just use that fan to exhaust out the window? I'm trying not to purchase another fan.

Putangluv is correct. You are going to create a nice warm and humid environment in the outer room. But that may be controllable with your house hvac system if you are only using 600w (depending on your outdoor climate). Definitely follow your plan with the oscillating fan inside the tent. Cooler the better. You will see more range in your phenotype the cooler you grow. Stay positive and expect it to be a learning curve.

Fan AND Carbon filter both made by phresh. I was reading that brand name filters are a lot better. And this fan uses less watts and quiet. Long term savings in the end?

Thanks! Definitely been learning a lot. Just Transplanted to airpots anyways. I'll wait for the fan to come in and I'll start setting up and take readings. I'll stick with one exhaust fan and oscillating for now

G'day bud just wnt to say I brought the same set up and it done the job or I should say it's doing it's job but the prob your going to have is that it's going to get really really warm in the room and even with a fan it won't cool dwn unless u keep the doors open on the tent

....It does kinda seem like the fans a BMW and the lights a Ford Escort but hey its all good. Thats probably among the best fan gig money can buy and I wish I had that bitch.
Its a nice start-up for ya I think. If your tent is gonna need to be closed up tight with lights on you might have heat issues but if it can be open some then you'll be just fine.
Its exciting to get started up and a lot of work too but this is around the time that I found out how much I was enjoying it all, more than I expected I would.

If you are able to cut a hole above in the ceiling to an attic space then duct your exhaust up there.

This will mean you can bug screen the window and leave it open and temps should stay better.

If up is not possible, can you duct it out of the room with the tent in it?



Exhaust out of the room with the tent inside it and the room will stay cooler allowing the cooler air to be drawn into the tent via the open ports and the hot grow room air will be exhausted out of the tent and out of the room.

I use a single exhaust fan 240 cfm for my noname generic carbon filter and it does the job but my basement grow area stays cool all year round though I do have a smaller tent... You may have issues with summer temps but a/c helps. Ducting is hard to gauge on length and I overbought myself.. You can trim it to any length you need & since it stretches you won't need as much as you think. I did mine like this- cool- tube> ducting> fan>ducting>filter
