So im trying to get into my local hvac school they take 50 people a year. I aplied for financial aid and im going to recieve 5000$ that leaves 2500$ left of tuation to be paid my mom said she would pay that. Now heres my pickle school is 8am-4pm that leaves little time for work and homework. I still have to pay my bills for 9 months which are 900$ a month min and I barely get 1100/1300$ a month working 40 hour weeks at work makin 10.80$. And im technically still a dependant of my mom till im 24 even though ive lived on my own and paid all my own bills last 2 years

I went to a/c school at 29, I was working for a company 9 months later, 3 months after that I was tech making more money than I ever did. 6 years after that,I got my contractors license and opened my own company, that was 12 years ago and My company is doing great.

Bottom line, make it work and it will pay off for you. Good luck!!!

Well if that isn't a literal representation of what choices you should be making at this time I don't know what is.

Do whatever you can to get into hvac school and stay there. Even if you have to work weekends, screw it. Listen to the man above.

exactly, I went to school from 8-12, then drove to wherever my buddy was working to help. he owned a carpet cleaning company and paid me for my help. I was on unemployment, so that little extra cash helped me make it thru.

Ya my boss was trying to tell me to go to the community college program its better then the private school cuz all they want is money he says. Yet the hvac guy that just came to replace our filters graduated from the same school im looking at. My friends dad has been doin hvac for over 20 years he said that school is better then the community colleges and he went to both schools. He owns his own business also. The school also has a 80% job placement after graduation I believe..... But the school is drug free they actually do random piss test and if u show any signs of drugs ur kicked from program. I told the lady that interviewed me that I smoke she said oh I understand as long as you stop you are fine. And she thinks id be a good fit from my background ive told her. I hate my current job and cant wait to go to school.

Danno . I am not going to get in to my 35 yr HVAC history , and yes I went to HVAC school as Chuck did
, I would do 2 things ask to be laid off from your present Job because it conflicts with your education, get on unemployment,
they then will offer you state grant money along with unemployment benefits that wont conflict with any grants or loans tied to your financial commitments you have now and you will collect benefits until your education ends
,because you are furthering your education and seek a job in the skilled trade market.

I would then find a job in the HVAC industry as fast as you can, small HVAC companys get busy and are always looking for helpers ,and some will pay cash...............a little part time work helps a lot when the bills are due cash cash ........Good luck.

I will say this the only regret I have is the big hole I put in the atmosphere with all the chlorofluoro carbon I released over the 35 yrs well from 1979-1994 then the industry got CFC educated , And Chuck if you read this Don't Lie to the kid I know your guilty To
