DWC - Going away for 12 days. Rez is 2 gallons. Small plant in veg. Will it survive?

Hello!

This is a fun new hobby for me. However I live in a jurisdiction where I could face serious time if caught, so I have kept to the [No Smell - No Tell - No Sell] philosophy.

My plant has been in veg for 2 months, but remains quite compact and small [5.5 inches] due to mainlining & LST. This is a stealth micro hydro grow, and the reservoir is just under 2 gallons, with 2 air stones. I cant get a bigger rez, because of size/stealth constraints.

Unfortunately I must leave town for 12 full days. Right now it drinks about half the rez in 7 days. I am running 18-6.

I do not want to involve a friend. Can I get away with abandoning it and refilling it on return? Or do I need to bring someone in? I assume I should keep it in veg since it will drink more in flower? Any other ways to put a DWC plant in conservation mode?

If it drinks half in 7 days, by day 12 most of the roots should be out of the water. pH could also go wild. They might survive, but barely.

Reducing temperature to about 10°C and reducing light intensity would help greatly.

Great advice, and there is really no way for you to make the rez just a tiny bit bigger? or maybe over fill it a just a tiny bit, the roots should be fine as long as there is enough air.

But that's a tough one.
Have you had any issues with pH going out of wack?

Thank y'all for the input! In the end I was able to shove a 5 gallon rez into my micro stealth hideaway. I used this Ikea pluggis series box: highly recommended for construction quality, strength and thickness (i believe it is lightproof too).

Spanky and Bucees, I can't get that cold, but I could minimize light. Do you think it is still necessary with a 5 gal rez? I think i will be okay.

Now that drinking water for this girl is not such a concern while I'm away, i am debating if I can get away with flipping her to flower. It will get real hot here soon, so I would be better off starting early before heat stress becomes an issue. Plus I may run out of space in my micro if I keep vegging.. i'm already nearing the halfway mark.

On the downside, I live in an apartment and I'd be nervous about odor control while I'm away. I do have a tiny DIY carbon filter going and an Ona liquid jar, which seems to be capturing most of it now. Running female seeds Lemon Kush.

What do you all think? Go for gold? or play it safe and keep her in veg till I return?

Look, my plants are in veg vor 2 months and they can drink 2,5 L a day. The bigger you can get your rez the better.

And whatever you do, the plants are going to be stressed. I would not risk puting them to flower mode at this moment as they would be great hermie candidates.
