There really isn't racism today, not like 40 years ago. Look at most people walking the streets, working in an office or in the field, especially youth. They hang out and marry outside of their race, outside of their ethnic background. Now, marrying into a certain racial culture is another thing. I'd do real well with a Sade from Idaho, but not an Oprah Winfrey from Pennsylvania.

I married a hispanic and let me tell you, the culture is really different in Texas. We're not talking 3 generations of hispanics born and raised in Michigan or Iowa who have assimilated into the white culture speaking English and waving the American flag not the Mexican. I married a girl from the valley (deep south Texas) and this saying never holds more true for the culture that was born and raised on the Tex-Mex border -

They are free to do what they want to do as long as it doesn't affect me but when an illegal Mexican breaks the law crossing the border or committing murder or Juanita has a baby across the border in America so it can be granted automatic American citizenship, or I have to accept gay rights "because it's the law", then it's gone too far.
