FFOF soil + nutes help!

I top all my sativas. My mangos which are indica are just clones that I didn't top. I havent topped any of my indicas so far and have gotten good yield.

Also, look at his plants, they're small for 4 weeks. They dont need to be topped yet if he is going to.
If i was going to top when would i do it, a lot of people i asked said i should have already done it, there getting pretty big, i would think if i was gonna do it should be soon. And they're strawberry cough thats a sativa dominant strain. so you think this means i should?

I usually top above the 2nd node. Same technique in the advanced section sticky, you can read more about it there. You can top whenever really, like the other guy said, its hard to mess up.

Post a more recent pic. The ones in your journal do not look very big at all...maybe they're old pics.

They look good. You can top now. All I was saying earlier was you didn't have to if you dont want to. You can still get a good yield.

I wait til they get to 6th or 7th node, but I usually use the top for a clone in case its a plant worth keeping around.

search for uncle bens guide to 2 or 4 main tops.
never remove fan leaves if you don't have to
and the amount of soil that's there will last you probably 2-4 more weeks, so you can quit feeding for 2 more weeks, then do half of that dosage what you tried first, and work your way up.
when looking at the feeding schedule try reducing it more than you already did, but somewhat copying the schedule ratio and changes
also FFOF is buffered powdered oyster shell and I'm not sure if it has any lime in it
for this reason you should use happy frog because it uses strictly lime, and i found when i used straight ffof the oyster shell PH buffer wore off(early flower). The remaining unbuffered nutrients brought the ph of any water going into it at 5.4 or so.
i fixed it by running a lot of water slowly through it until it came out at the same ph as the water that was going in. From here i dosed nutes then pH'd the water I finished the plants off but they were stunted a little by the damage.

since that's solved lets talk about the watering.......... you think that pots gonna dry up before gnats move in if he were to soak it?.... I don't see it happening.. even if they don't a couple or three times watering til runoff with those little plants and the soil is gonna be 2 compacted for roots to grow well....... the bottom of the pots gonna be mud......

So start nutes back up in a few weeks with very watered down dose right?

so in your opinion i should just keep watering the way i am, not soaking just enough for plant to stay hydrated?

I think he'll be fine. He said he added perlite so hopefully that keeps it from getting too compacted. I know what you mean with the ocean forest though, it does get compacted pretty easily.

He cant keep watering like he has been. The soil on the outer edges of the pot is probably pretty dry by now, not exactly a good environment for the roots to expand to either.

silly question but take a look tell me how big you think its gonna be ?
its gonna be as big as you let it get......when ya figure an 8 foot ceiling and theres gonna need to be a foot or two between the hood and the ceiling... another foot underneath....... now you only have a five foot room........a pot that's a foot tall and you have a four foot room.........a five gallon bucket would put you to more like a 3 foot room..........

ok so hypothetically speaking if it got to a size where i wanted to stop the growth, and keep it at that size, would i be able to…is there a method for that?

Because if not then i might just have to top
