I think distance would be key for you. When you say Second set of leaves, what do you mean? At first they are the cot and the 2 set of leaves, you mean the 2nd set that grows after those two or including them?

12 inches should be okay. 80 watts can grow a big plant in veg easy and you have more just do this when the plant gets like 4 nodes, stick the underside of you wrist under the light and see what distance doesn't hurt you then go 1 inch up more with light. that is how to adjust distance.

Alright I picked up the molasses. . I have a gallon of water as well. Explain everything I need to put into this gallon and how often\amount I should feed from it

Right now i would mix 1/2 tsp with 1 cup hot water then stir. then add that to more water in jug you dont have to fill it plum full 90% is good. let it sit overnight unless they need water tonight. when you water the plant let 1/2 too 1 cup come out of bottom but water them slowly should take 1 hr every 10 min. let the soil soak it in slowly. then put whats left in fridge if any is left.

What about nutes and water them slowly should take 1 hr every 10 min?! What's that mean

yes tsp is teaspoon. and slowly water them take time. i take an hr to water my plants every 10 min i add more.

im off to bed. you can use the molasses anytime now if it is water time. when the 3rd set of leaves are bigger then next water i give veg nutes with molasses.

Okay ibefore you water you need to see how dry the soil is. do this take another pot same size fill it with dry soil same mix. pick it up even put it on a scale. now right it down. weigh your one with plant in it. what is diff in weight? if 1/2 lb or less diff then she can be watered. water weighs 8.3 lbs per gallon. so 1 quart water weights 2 lbs 1 pint weighs 1 lb. 1 cup water weighs 1/2 lb which is perfect. As you plants get bigger like 5 nodes then have 3/4 lb more weight and when its 15 inch tall have 1 lb diff. ect. since you are not using breathable bags i would also suggest pumping air into your water/feed jug 30 minutes or more before watering with it. roots love oxygen. a plant that size you should be watering every 3-5 days i would guess. depends on heat and RH. if you add veg nutes with the molasses use 1/8 tsp right now. the soil will hold it till plant is ready for it.

Sweet i love new life. fyi a new seed that grows and has stored nuted for about 7 days of life. omg my lady bug is no longer in my veg room she has invaded me lmao. she has a tail sticking out. i think my lights may have burned her. she is mad as hell. i hope she goes back but i dont have bugs so who knows. nothing grows in my AIS system. I wont kill the lady bug she will fly around and eat all the bad stuff we dont need.
