Got in a Fight with my Windshield

I used to be able to drive past my buddies house and know when his car was broken down just by the state of the windshield.
He would get pissed and bust it out.
Like see that windshield honey?
Means the tranny probably went out.

my one sister's kid has gone through i think 3 windshields so far, i think 2 on his car and one on hers, of course he hasn't owned up to punching any of them, but you don't get huge spider webs in them over night by a stone hitting them for sure..

Eventualy he learned to replace them himself.
Its been more than 20 YRS since he has
done it.

NEWSPAPER!!!...itll change the way you wash windows for life.

This never worked for me. Everyone swore by it. Until someone told me that the newspaper tricked used to work b/c of the type of newsprint used. Nowadays (at least in my state) the paper is recycled and therefore no longer works as well when trying to clean windows.

Wash it with soap to break down the oil, then rinse and dry and THEN try the window cleaner again

This works. But you have to make sure to get ALL the soap residue off. And not wash in the sunlight b/c it "bakes" on the soap. Rainex is good when windshield is all clean to keep water sheeting off...

beat me. yup, newspaper works great...and cheap

clayton, pro tip, wipe the inside vertically, and the outside horizontal, or vice versa, w/e floats your boat.. this way when your done, you can tell which side the smears are on by the direction they're running..
