Getting tired of Recreational ruining it for Medical. My Bitch Thread.

We all know rec has a high supply and demand and that is driving the prices way up and it will all level out. That is not what this is about, this is about dispensary owners seeing dollar signs and the stupid as vertical integration model, lol.

I used to really like being a member at TGS until they went rec(canceling all my saved up member points btw). They were on the down slide anyway but it was one of only 3 near my house and was good for concentrates(if you knew the right days and times to go) and good for cheap $50/q flash dried junt weed and was fairly consistent, also was awesome for edibles and my favorite drinks. I still went else where for the premo flowers and bho but it was nice.

Then they went rec and we went in as med patients and were treated like 3rd class citizens and offered the worst of their in house strains and keif, meanwhile on Rec side at twice the price was all the stuff I normally purchase.

Needless to say I walked out in anger and have not been back since...


I then found Riverrock and was promised that them going rec would not effect med so I signed up....

I joined for two reasons, their concentrates, and their A.C.T program for cancer patients(for my step mom who is also now a member)... They also have some nice strains but I've already found other places with the premo flower(and am still on the hunt for even more like C.A.M.)

So ANYWAY, they have fucked me now too... They've been getting ready to go REC. Haven't had anything but "full-melt", that does not melt, in like 4-5weeks. And they don't have any of the cbd stuff my step mom needs for their program.

And they try to tell me it's nothing to do with going Rec but some bullshit with the IRS... The started Rec Friday, I bet if I go in there today and am willing to pay rec prices, they've got some BHO for me, lol.


I have more stories of similar situations but I'll leave the floor open to other people bitching about this now, hehe....

Still haven't made it into a dispensary ever due to having friends in the game. Find someone who owns a vac oven and make friends with them. That'll lock down your BHO needs. Premo flowers are always hit or miss and you'll always have to be on the hunt for those if your standards are high enough. It seems that rec hasn't really ruined anything for you besides the price?

As far as $$$ signs for dispensary owners.... I personally would be doing the same if I were an owner or an investor, sad to say but it's true. This is your chance here and now with these prices to make your initial investment back plus some. Wait for things to stabilize and go from there.

Only other suggestion is that friends make the world go around. Make friends with people who grow quality herb consistently. Make friends with someone who has a vac oven that makes BHO all the time. It'll get you through times like these.

well not all places are raising price when they go rec. good chem in Denver has been and will remain 8$g 25$ 1\8 oz med and rec prices

Blame it on the state. They decided to limit rec supply knowing full well it would end up digging into the medical supply. If there were no limits on production this wouldn't be an issue.

I think you are one of the few reasonable minded folk responding here, hehe... And fair point business is business, and business is good, lol. However clearing floor space away from existing med patients and giving it to rec is kinda fucked up.

The thing that pisses me off the most is the BHO stuff at Riverrock, and once they get it fixed I'll be happy again... Just don't bullshit me and tell me come back next week, 4 weeks in a row.

And as far as getting bho elsewhere, I address it below but here as well. I agree that having good friends in this community would be awesome. And I would actually love to have a Top-flight personal caregiver for bomb flowers and/or concentrates. I just have no idea where to start really. I've only been here since Aug, I work from home, and don't like to go out and party and shit, so I don't really meet new people very often, hehe. Plus I mean who can you trust really? Esp when it comes to bho?

I do grow my own, but I'm only on my second grow and my homegrown is not up to my own standards. Well, it is in-terms of quality, but the 5oz of cola blueberry I have from my first grow has barely been touched, I like the variety and flavors and whatnot you get around Denver. Also, I'd rather get bho from trusted artists vs making it myself or buying local.

Which brings me to my next point, we all know you can't really compare Denver dispensaries to Pueblo ones, in-terms of quality or supply, hehe. If I lived down their snaps, I'd have more free cash and bigger place and better equipment and prob would just grow all my own, esp considering what I've heard about the shops down there. However as is we are in Brighton, and looking to buy a home somewhere near Boulder soon, I've only got a "learner grow" going.

I do grow my own, but I'm only on my second grow and my homegrown is not up to my own standards. Well, it is in-terms of quality, but the 5oz of cola blueberry I have from my first grow has barely been touched, I like the variety and flavors and whatnot you get around Denver. edit: but for some reason you should be able to purchase your stuff cheaper than you can grow it yourself?
