Hey everybody, how is your day going (legit question! lol)? I'm just hanging out at home smoking a j with my girlfriend whilst enjoying a new IPA from a local brewery here in Vancouver. I've been looking at all these different ways of building a house out of environmentally conscious materials while keeping ongoing energy use/safety/return on investment and self-sufficiency as priorities and have taken a liking to these Monolithic Domes. As odd as they may look they make really amazing housing for areas of our countries that are prone to earthquakes, forest fires, tornado's, tidal surges, hurricanes and even and internal house fires as it is made of a sandwich of concrete and foam. Costs per sq.ft for it ranges $55-110/sq.ft so roughly similar to a conventional house. I have to build at least one! lol. Just thought I'd share an idear of mine today. Any of you have a wish to build your own home??? Lets hear it!
