To harvest or not to harvest , that is the question. PLEASE HELP

Ok so I need some expert advice ..

I have 4 plants , 2 are grape ape the other 2 are deep purple

I started doing 12/12 flowering light cycle on FEB 2cnd. So its been almost 6 weeks into flowering


None of the plants have turned purple , everything is still green , none of the fan leaves have turned any color , its all GREEN

But the Buds on the Deep Purple are all covered in orange hairs and the trichs are about 80% dark amber color . Almost all of them are.

The Buds on the Grape Ape are still white hairs with a few orange hairs but all the trichs are still clear .

I know that the Grape Ape needs more time but what about the Deep Purple? Should I harvest it ? It's only been in flower for 6 weeks.

I'd keep it up for at least another 2 weeks, if it were me. Those buds look like they're still gonna plump up some more. They're looking really good though, but I'd hold off for now.

I am no expert but if it was me I wouldn't harvest yet, just my opinion.

i agree with above poster, while they look great, they're no where even close to harvest imvho.. i'd say like 3 plus weeks or so more.. you'll know when they're done, the pistils will recede back into the buds, the calyxes will swell, and the over all look of the plants will scream chop me, which yours do not at this time.

Thanks for the comment everybody.. I am concerned because most of the trichs are already dark amber on the two I mentioned. Plus why is nothing Purple? I have seen pictures of deep purple and grape ape and there is all this purple in the pictures.. Mine don't have any purple yet. When does it turn purple?

not every strain will go purple, even one's known for going purple, don't always go purple.. colder temps help bring out the purple though.. ive been growing for a minute now and have never grown a purple bud..

it might turn purple later on in the flowering mate, plus cold temps make them go purple or black, as in my case, dropped it down to 59F & This is what it did to a blackjack auto,

Alpha , I don't know how to drop my temps other than installing an air conditioner which there is no room for. Yours look great.

Cheers mate, it was outside tho in that cab with a extremely cool running LED, i was surprised she made it through to flowering. You could try putting in Frozen water bottles at night & a fan blowing across them, that will drop the temps a bit more.
