New Grower

Hi everyone I'm a new grower looking for some advice before I start. I think I have everything I need but I've been reading a lot and watching videos and it seems I'm still missing stuff...this is my list so far:

2 indoor flower pots( don't know what size but I think there a decent size for growing).

1 8qt bag of potting soil( no brand name it's just black with potting soil written on it but it has peat moss perlite and forest products in it whatever that is so I think it's good for growing from what I've been researching).

Epsoma garden tone fertilizer 3-4-4

5 cfl bulbs 4 13 watt= 60 watt equiv. and 1 55watt=200 watt equiv.

I also have a timer, extension cords, and other small stuff needed for a small indoor grow.
I'm trying to grow 2-3 decent plants in a small space.

Hey, welcome to rollitup!

what kind of plant are you trying to grow, autoflower or photoperiod? Also, do you plan on vegging your plants? One more question, do you know what kelvin/temp color of your bulb is? For example a warm 2700k is good for flower.

I've seen most people recommend about 75-100watts per plant. For 2-3 plants I would recommend getting 1 or 2 more 55w bulbs to put overhead. Then you could use the 13w as side lighting for the plants.

Any questions feel free!

I got the seeds from the bottom of baggies so I guess photoperiod...lol I don't really know.
I do plan vegging once I get a feel for everything but I think right now I'm just gonna grow them until they're almost hitting the top of my space and then I'm a flower. I have both 2700k and 6500k two of the 13 watt and the 55w are 2700k and the other two 13 watt are 6500k

Yeah, they're most likely photoperiod.

If your planning on vegging the height of your space, then I highly suggest to LST(low-stress train) them. Otherwise your plants will likely grow into your lights.

Seems like you got a good idea where to start, now you just gotta apply it. Good luck!

No way, man! Don't do it! You'll want to flower once they're about half way up your cab or you'll completely run out of room. Once they start to flower, they stretch and about double in size.

Anyway, you will totally need and want more light for that many plants, too. What you've got would be ok for a single plant, but you'll want at least double that or 2-3 plants. Seriously, speaking from experience: once you see the magic happening, you'll always want more lights! And usually all you need is more bulbs and a few splitters!

Cheers!
