7000 sq ft warehouse

Hello, in the process of building out 7000 sq. ft. warehouse. Any thoughts on multiple rooms? My theory is (1) Veg 1000 sq. ft. and (4) blooms 1500 sq.. ft.. each. Creating a perpetual harvest and reducing possibility of pest or diseases spreading and potentially ruining a crop. I was also thinking 1 bloom for experiencing different nutrients and mediums. Also keeping certain strains with similar finish time together.

possibly 50 (1000's) in each bloom.
A/C and Co2.

Has anyone ran Gavita's?

More than likely run House and garden with a little twist. Medium 70% coco 15% ocean 15%perlite.

1000 plants per bloom

Anyone's comments, ideas, or experiences would be greatly appreciad

t5's are a waste for all but the smallest vegging plants imo.

not trying to be a dick here but if you have this many questions perhaps you should walk before you run

Yes Gavita are Great top of line horticulture lamps. AND in my opinion if you have the height then rock those bad boys your set up will be top notch i wish i could design and build these rooms for people. so fun

when given the choice between hid/t5 past 3 weeks of veg. I know what most experienced growers would choose ;)

lol thanks. My theory from experiencing with t5 is that wen you switch them over your plants have closer bud sets resulting in higher yields. Just my opinion.

So you want to do 1000 plants per room, with fifty 600 watt lights per room, in 10 gallon pots. 10 gallon pots would be for huge plants, I use four 5 gallon pots per 1000 watt and that works great. With your numbers you would be doing 20 plants in 10 gallon pots per each 600 watt..that wouldnt work, its way too many plants in way too large pots for a 600. And why use 600s ? Thats twice the amount of hoods and twice the amount of ballasts to buy initially and twice the amount of bulbs everytime you change them. I dont think anyone with a really large grow uses 600s.

Also,the square footage youve allotted for the rooms is the same as the building. So I guess youll just walk directly into one of the grow rooms as the entrance from the street,and there wont be any hallways or storage or drying/trimming rooms or anything?

This might be a real project but it sounds like youve maybe grown small scale with a t5 and a 600, and you thought about what a big grow would be like and strung together a bunch of words and numbers that dont really go together. Hopefully it works out..good luck.

Usually you have to have a set amount of time or posts. Once that threshold is met it will be a square on the top bar towards the right of the reply box.

very help full thank you. The warehouse will be larger than 7k I have to plant 7k worth of square footage. The reason for 600 is because I get huge results in comparison to 1000's weird huh. I get 1 gram + w 600 and under 1 gram per watt with 1000's. Controlling the environment mainly heat issues with 1000's

20 lights with medical numbers is my experience. This Is new to me on this size scale.

Drying trimming storage processing is in a completely separate warehouse. lol open the door to the street and blam 50,000 watts in your face.

Yeah.. for a large veg operation I think MH and/or T8 would be more practical.. lower cost.

I like T8..

If your growing in a closet and size is restricted by height and/or weak lighting ...

The big boys left the duplo blocks at home.

Watt for watt you can veg more, faster and with tighter internodes with metal halides. Stretch is caused by weak lighting and lack of bluespectrum, MH rocks veg.

Yeah..2x 1000s on 4x8s is the way to go, 4 feet apart from bulb to bulb. You can do them in rows end to end or make squares or other layouts,its best if theyre on wheels.
