GSC - Much Fake

I've seen GSC start to pop-up on weedmaps around CO. And every other day I see someone fronting they are growing it so I thought I'd put the word out some...

I actually posted this in a reply to Chewberto but the thread got removed so....

I recently read in High Times about GSC. And not trying to rain on anyone's parade but wanna put the word out... "The Cookie Family" actually contacted them for an article so they could put the word out that they have not given out their genetics to anyone. And any GSC you see winning cups or being crossed is what they call "fortune cookies", hehe. And I imagine it's pretty rare to get any legit GSC outside of sf/norcal. The article even talks about how dispensaries and dealers across the country are claiming GSC but it's really not.

Good news is they have said they are going to do a deal on some crosses with RPA, the article suggests "Tangerine Cookies", hehe.

All that said, if anyone has some legit GSC I would love to try it!!!

I supposedly had some real girl scout cookies but I've had real girl scout cookies and this definitely wasn't it.. At the same time it's no secret what genetics makeup girl scout cookies therefore it would be common sense and highly plausible to expect a "knockoff" to contain both worse versions or "fake" as you would refer to them and others possibly even better than the california version. There are so many factors involved but the genetics are no secret.

They talk about the genetics in the article, I suggest everyone give it a read. They claim what makes their shit so special is some father, and they are all secretive about it....

I dunno I'm not ALL that into crosses and what not. All I'm saying is, I'm am very skeptical about a lot of what some places or people claim to have, epically so on GSC after reading that article, I wouldn't even trust what some bay area dispensary is pushing, and that is where the breeder grows.

I'm happy to burn some dank calling itself GSC, And would love to try it. And I have no doubt some of the Cup entry stuff is the real deal "Fortune Cookies". But I will remain skeptical until they come out and say our shit is sold here, and this is our GSC x whatever(as they said they aren't going to release the strain itself, but only crosses).

ive got some, from cali connection, so im guessing its not the correct lineage, there are alot of rumors and controversy over this strain. check it out, look it up, swerve and the bay area guys are the ones causing all the drama around this strain, what ever cut ive actually got, i like it its fire, ive got some coming down soon, i got mine off craigslist from a guy who claims to know swerve from cali connection, and claims that its a select pheno of the GSC. ill never know.

When they sold the original thin mint GSC in collectives in the Bay Area, there were some seeds in the bags which turned into forum, animal, fortune, etc. those genetics are in fact in Colorado! And that's all that matters for now I guess.

The real joke here is. The GSC was ONE plant that came from grossings! The only thing you would be able to get even close to would be femmed seeds. PPPPHHHHTTTT garbage in my mind!

Way to many good seeds/strains out there to worry about hype.

BCBD has BX1 crosses of GSC's lol For as long as they and all seed companies are able to stay in business?

That's not really true. There can be plenty of cookie dominant phenos crosses. And oddly she crosses well. The hybrids are pretty good for the most part. I may not be the highest yield but its fire. There is no doubtdoubt about is quality. There are so many better.

in 2008/9 gsc was created. it was called girl scout cookies.... a friend of mine who gifted me my cuts . took it from a cookie fam grower over a dispute. at the same time when all the platinum og and platinum bubba came out all hot at the bay area collectives they added the platinum to the name. so from then on all the bagseeds people found were being called platinum cooks, forum cooks, and ogkushbreath from icmag had a bagseed cut he picked out and that made seeds and thats where dark heart nursery got their cut. so in actuality the animal cooks aka original platinum cookie (not the platinum at the clubs that came from ogkbs cut mind you) is in fact the older of the gsc phenos and it was around before cookie fam dropped thin mint shortly AFTER the other cut was already out and about. they went back into the original seeds from the breeding and found a better version basically .

my veg tent has blue leds and t5 flourecents. no they didnt lie to anyone. but they grew this cut before thin mint appeared and i know it for a fact because i myself have had it since before anyone was calling anything thin mint. and thin mint does look different it grows way better. but the animal cut was around in 09 ive had it for a long time and my friend has had it since right after it was created. so i can only speak for the cut i have.

swerve dont have no thin mint lol.
he found a seed in some regular bagseed cookies from one of us in the bay and said he got it from jigga who made it. and then at the sf cup he finally admitted it was bagseed he used to make all those seeds. the sad thing is ive yet to see one cali connection gsc pheno lol
