ok so i got some extra beans from my site that delivers 100% of the time..pm me if u want to know it....but i have no idea what they are....but i think anyone with extra beans they're not using should join me...heres what imma do: i'll post pics a little later when i get to the 'office'

-3 beans
-3 Solo cups
-Happy Frog soil
-Sunleaves pioneer IV Jr T5 light

i will germinate, plant and veg for 30 days then right to flower and harvest anyone interested to do it with me and have like a little race...the more the merrier....AND GO!!!!!

so i will keep spraying down the paper towel in the dark cabinet every day till i see sprouts and we will begin the "MINI PLANT" journey......god im bored lol

so when i look closely three of seeds have popped but the taproot is just about to sprout out and the other two are just chillin.....but all i have been doing is spraying the cutting board down with a couple of mists from the bottle of plain old tap water....nothing more......i hope there other two pop those bastards

ok so i made some changes.....instead of solo cups i just grabbed some unused pots that i normally use that i found around the house....anyway the white bag is Nectar soil #4 and obviously the bag next to it is Happy Frog (HF).....im running 100 HF on one, 100 Nectar #4 on another, a 50/50 mix of #4/HF, and the big pot is 100 HF but im really hoping for a decent female (prob be the only male or vice versa, but hey what the hell right)....so until they sprout into a seedling u do NOTHING, just watch for the sprout.....u do not water, or fuck with it in any way, just wait for the plant to do its thing....they are all under a Sunleaves Pioneer IV Jr T5 and that should be more than enough to carry me all the way to flower......40 days till i put into flower.....starting NOW!!!

oh i forgot to add, that one of them didnt germinate and and the last pic is to show that i have plenty of room in case of a crazy sativa, bc i do not know what i planted they are just an assortment of medicinal seeds from buydutchseeds.com i had lying around....they should in sprout in about 3 days, so ill have pics up by then

What is it and paper towels that people love so much? Look into starting your seeds directly into a medium. You should have rooted spouts in a medium in 3-5 days max from planting seed. If your spending days checking your seeds just for a tap root your slowing yourself down. It's become a personal mission to wein people off their paper towel habbit!

I think it's just knowing that the bean has successfully germinated.

In my experience you can damage the taproot when you make the transfer from paper towel to the medium.

Why not just reduce the risk of damage and start in the medium in the first place? Makes sense to me...

I used paper towels for my first go at it. They like to rot your tap root if you don't pay close attention. Can you make it your personal mission to stop all the cup o' water people too? :3

Nah, I tie cinder blocks to the feet of my seeds and threaten them with drowning unless they germ for me... Works every time!

i normally dont EVER start from seed...im just doing this for fun, but when i did, i did judt plant directly into the soil....i did the paper towel method bc a lot of new growers have limited $$$ and resources and im just trying to show them that u dont need all that stuff....yea its prob the healthier/better way, but these new guys dont have domes and T5's.....they think that a light bulb from the the lamp will get them nuggets...i just wanna show the easiest method imo to get urself ur own smoke ......thats the goal of this thread

AND WE BEGIN!!!....they finally popped outta the soil and i snapped some pics......its been a long long time for me to start from seed, i forget how little they are from start. Well they are all looking good, cept that weird one in the big pot....its, slow, but that may be a good thing later on.....still no water since planting, and i dont plan too till i see them stop stop reaching for the T5 and start producing fan leaves....at that point i will also implement a little air flow on em, but for now we will just leave em be bc there is nothing else u can do......***this is the point where new growers get all excited and start 'killing em with kindness', when in reality, u dont gotta do shit lol.....ill kepp ya guys updated

DAY 3

Ok well they have stopped reaching and are now beginning to start producing fan leaves.....not any real indicators of sativa/indica dominance just yet, but im guessing in a week, we will all be able to see something going on...ok so here are some pics....i watered today with just plain ole' tap water from my water storage for my other plants so its been sitting out for about 48 hrs....(its not str8 from tap)
