Hey all ,

im doing my first outdoor grow ,after scrapping the idea of hydro(need more yield) . So ive found a spot in the forest that defo wont be found by humans. Ive go good sunlight and a water source. Im wondering what the best way to prepare the soil ? Its already a re-forested area so the soils quite dark , but im planning on taking a few bags of fertilizer up there n mixing it in , is this the way to go?
Im also gonna get a wire fence n stick that in as we have heaps of deer n boar around us. I was told to have a shit each time i go as animals dont like humans shit is that a good idea?

A forest has deplete soil, thats why the forest is there, take blood and bone, if you got the cash take a soil sample to your soil science guy he will advise on nutes required, cost $50.00 well worth the effort

Time released fertilizer works. It helps to dig up the soil before you plant to loosen the earth. You can get stuff at the gardening store for repelling critters.

Hard to advise on this without knowing the type of native soil you are amending. But there is one thing cheap and effective regardless of growing in Florida or Canada:

Compost, and a LOT of it. Start amending with it as soon as the ground thaws. Use it throughout the summer as a mulch...just keep piling it on.

As for deer, use this stuff sprayed in a perimeter fashion...not on plants:

Hey that's super helpful thanks for that , i thought it would be a case of just get loads of compost n work it in. The blood and bone thing will defo be a nightmare as we have heaps of animals here. The deer repellent is a beautiful thing that i never knew existed so im off to get some today. cheers all

From where exactly do most potting soils come from ..."""local sewage farms""" is correct, mixed with local utility works grass clippings, and sold at much profit, and has done for years, the only issue really is once you take that prescribed drug, that you too take a dump, and trace elements of that drug are emitted into the sewage into the environment, how else can you explian the massive drop ni North American Human Sperm in the last 40 years ....? is but one example

When I do a forest opening I bring a professional grade pick-axe, heavy duty fork, and a bow saw for firewood. I like to put potash in forest soil. I bring two empty milk jugs and a box of Miracle Grow to mix on sites near water. Then I turn it all, let sit for a few days and treat it like a vegetable garden but this time I kill the vegies and leave the weed.

Dude ? some of the shit you come up with. no pun. Most potting soil if any does not come from local sewage farms. It has to be labeled contains Bio solids if it does. Washington state is a big user of Bio solids on their pubic land scapes. and no... most GG's do not fence in their grows. Do you have a grow on here or do you just run around here spewing shit.... lol

Hello, I would suggest that you buy a book for outdoor growing. You will find very useful information. In a book which I read they was advising to replace the ground up to 2 meters deep. Also choose an area where is not visited from people, and add some kind of protection around the trees. In case that in the area are animals feeding with grass like deers etc.

I would think that if soils are made from sewage, it would at least be post treated sewage.
Raw human feces is completely different, it is hazardous and filled with harmful bacteria.
As for the massive drop in sperm counts in north america, I would chalk that one up to Fluoride in the water.

Let that shit happen today and see what happens. Why do you think DHS is buying up ammo at a clip so fast that a normal citizen has to look around just to find any and then pay crazy high prices? Shit is going to hit the fan in a big fucking way in the near future. I believe that. My advice? Stay the fuck away from my piece of ground looking to steal. It makes Uncle Ted's place look like a nursery school. I'm talking a fucking arsenal, with lots and lots of those big black scary looking guns. I just can't stand sheeple who blindly follow the state controlled MSM.

Hey smidge, with an arsenal like that, it sounds like the only people that will be stealing from you IS the DHS.
Since they have a bigger arsenal, and the law on their side. (Eminent Domain)
