I was just put on oxycontin ER in place of my fentynal patches. How do I get rid of the extended release portion on the pill ???

Destroying the timed-release factor of the medication will almost kill a normal person at 40mg-80mg. Do you know what you are doing? Prescription drugs, mainly Oxy-types, have passed the lethality mark by killing more people than car accidents and HIV, HepC, combined..

(passed motor deaths in 2014, by far).. everyone knows a few people who have overdosed on prescription drugs and yet the US Gov, allows liver killers and opiates to destroy our country.. I know 8 people who died from Oxy overdoses..

Dude he's going from fent to ER OC... that's like going from dabs to mid-grade weed. Opiates aren't that dangerous health-wise imo. Alcohol, fast food, cigs etc are far worse. A little precaution and research and the potential of overdose or death is very low.

I don't know how to get those to break down anymore since I haven't done any in forever. There's usually teks online though when they make a new time release.

He's obviously wanting to get high from the oxy, its whatever

i ivd an 80 years ago.nodded out with my fist on my chin,but my fist slid down an i basically strangled myself,cut off all my circulation and respiratory functions...woke up due to my ex and her friend pulling me out the door..i had no pulse,was not breathing..
point is,i said to myself,id mention that situation to anyone who asks about o.c...so there.metioned..

I have been on the 100 mg patches for over 25 yrs. & taking Norco 10's with them. Im tired of the patches falling off & my Dr. wanted me to try the oxy 40's with the norcos to see if it would work, but with them being ER they seem to not be working. I have cut them in pieces & their some stout pills. I took 6 a once & there was NO relief at all so I had to take aa shit load more norcos to compensate. & yes at times I do want to get high so I can forget about some of the pain Im in.

depends what kind of pill you have..
but keep in mind most er preparations are limited physically, cellulose,shellac, wax, eudragit etc...and are pretty easy to remove/rupture
chew it, crush it, whatever floats your boat

he doesn't have the new ones....
but it's still really easy, just the membrane isnt on the outside to allow opening of the pill, now there are spheroids. cool so you can sprinkle the powder in shit...but still, just dissolve the matrix

That was several years ago though so im out of the loop.

Dude, the guy was on a fentanyl patch. It is unlikely that he does not have a tolerance. Still titration is a key with all medicines where the time release mechanism has been defeated.
