The BLACK DEATH

Yes, originated from London after the black plague. The fire of London took out a lot of it and then I think Christopher Wren rebuilt it.
Can I just say? I'm in love with your SN. It's been a fun mystery. Extranjera from what I can determine is "loose spanish" for stranger. If I brought you delicious fruits, and snacks, would you tell me what the beautiful "Lahada" part means? (I'm talking imported strawberries, and mangos and shit. The real deal.)

Didn't the nursery rhyme "Ring around the rosy" actually describe symptoms of the plague? And posies were stuck in the victims pockets to mitigate the smell. "Ashes, ashes we all fall down" because the bodies were burned. It's macabre when you think about it that kids still sing that nursery rhyme and have no clue of it's origin.
Yes, it is true. My granny told me the story about the children playing and singing.

Hmmm...don't even know where I first heard it but it was even before the internet was invented and I always believed it without second guessing. I stand corrected.
It isn't that they sang it during the outbreak it is that they sang it about the Black Death.

We all fall down (Dead).

Small Pox is far more deadly than Great Pox.
They should change names.

And there are two schools of thought concerning syphilis.

Many think it was brought to Europe by Sailors returning with Colombus.
Others say it was already in Europe during the medieval period.

I can't think of a disease with more impact than Black Death. Vostok is correct. It did result in the middle class. We all went through it. Ring Around The Rosie is an echo from our past. Love that shit.

The BBC did a piece on the Black Death and the rise of the middle class. They, also, did a great job on the first capitalist from centuries ago in England

Gonna have to look that one up. Never thought there would be a first capitalist. Just figured it was part of human nature. I guess it depends on 'as opposed to what'.

Before that you were either a peasant or aristocratic or a royal. It was pretty good I just can't remember the name of it.

No, they just call them 'guapas'. They don't care what country they're from. Me llaman la cultivadora experta.

It's just how it rolls off the tongue. It sort of...commands respect.
Soy la hada y soy una chica muy mala. That rhymes!

Baldrick, that show was quite good. For a brief period of time after, peasants (labor) was a sellers market, they were making bank. The aristos couldn't afford them. So, being god fascists (intended), the aristos unleashed mercenaries on them and enslaved them in some countries
