Hey guys, day one, first post nice to meet ya!
firstly here's my set up at the moment:
60cm width/depth 150cm height DR60 secret jardin tent (it's not size that matters it's how you use it right)
125w cfl veg light reflector on 18/6 timer
3x 10L Air roots pots and saucers
6" clip fan on speed controller
humid/temp
Coco Coir / perlite ~75/25~ medium
(I have other stuff coming shortly: 250wcfl flowering light,rvk5", acoustic ducting, carbon filter etc but not needed for seeds)
I started the process of germination, then watered my coco till water ran off. Admittedly I overwatered (first timer) there was ALOT of run off.
While the seeds are germinating I thought I'd get my environment right, so I left the fan on over night to dry the coco a little and see how loud it is sleeping. I put the seeds in the coco and timed the lights to come on went I woke up for work, went to work, spent all day hoping my little Royal Bluematics (royal Queens seeds) would have sprouted, to come home to find no sprouts but a grow tent that is VERY wet inside. My humid/temp had a max of 95%. Beading water on all reflective insides, including room causing drips onto light. Making a loud tinny noise when hitting my reflector and scaring me of my fan bursting into flames.
My lights are now off and the doors are open and fan on to try dry it out:
I need to no my options here:
do I simply increase the fan speed?
open the ducting port holes whilst the light is on during seeding?
towel dry?
i no humidity is good for seeds, but it's like a tropical rainforest in there and pretty sure My insurance cover doesn't water dripping on my lights while I'm away from home causing an electrical fire!
Im a fast learner so would like to hear from someone experienced who has seeded with coco and stealth tents and not just speculation
Thanks in advance, play safe broski's
