Can you sprout seeds in soil successfully?

I'm using a T5. Currently growing another plant in the same tent. Can you please describe the difference between ambient light and normal light?

Just the normal light in your house. If there is light coming in through a window or skylight in your home that's all the light that's needed for starting.

T5 is perfect! Let nature take it course and try not to stress out, gardening is supposed to be relaxing. Listen to your plants and they'll tell you what they need

exactly. nothing ever just grows from dirt. you must put them in costly hormone gels inside particulate space time accelerators.

I forgot that part of my grow up. You need a veg, flower, and squirrel tent. 100% success rate germinating in my squirrel tent.

Only plant the seed about 3/16 to 1/4" below the soil in a solo cup. Get the party size clear cups. They're about half the size of a solo cup but the same diameter on top. Lightly wet soil and turn the clear cup over on it. Its a perfect humidity dome. You should see her within 2 days.

Why woud adding two atificial elements, total darkness and paper towels, help them know it's time to grow?

Because the paper towel, like proper soil, is moist and not wet, and it's dark because the seed is planted beneath the soil, where it's dark. I never let the air sit unchanged in the bag for more than 12 hours, and I prefer gallon size ziplocks for germination. Done properly, it mimics soil pretty well. I prefer starting them in soil though.

So here is my auto today. Only one cy leaf. And the yellow tips on the small leaves. Is she a goner? or can it still come around?

I had a sprout last thanksgiving that I'd knocked one of the first true leaves off, when there were only that pair and the cotys. I was going to kill it, but something told me to let it be. I'm glad I did now, it was a Sugar Black Rose, and it just gave me about 3 oz of some top grade reefer.

Mine looks like i might have pulled off one of the cy leaves when I pulled the seed off. The true leaves are getting a little bigger tho. Can a plant survive with one cy leave? Or does it grow back if I did in fact tear if off by accident.

How do you have such a high reputation on here when your posting questions like this? Of course they can sprout in soil successfully, germinating is simply a means of speeding up the process.

My "magic potion" is H202.
My last germination round.
Soak 12 hours. Strait into medium. Had 33 out of 36 fully sprouted in 4 days including the 12 hour soak.
3 duds. They never popped.
Don't know if the H202 helps but it certainly doesn't hurt any.

If taking seeds to a site and going strait into ground then it's the tried and true ziplock bag & paper towels. Usually start em at night. 2 full days later make the trek out.Plant the ones that sprouted tails.
Then plant the rest and hope for the best.
