First indoor grow

Hey guys I'm not even sure I can call this a grow since I only have one plant. Either way here's the deal. I've grown a out door plants on two occasions. One died due to lack of knowledge and the other I planted out of season and had a 7 inch plant with about a gram or so of really killer bud. Due to this I've done some reaseach to inform myself and recently planted a couple old seeds to see if they would sprout and one did. I left it outside and due to inclimate weather it got little sun and lots of rain. I read up on cfl growing and made a cheap setup for an extra closet that is 2x2. I have three 23w bright white 1600 lumens 3500k. For my space according to what I've read this should be more than adequate. (I have considered switching one for a softer light as I read that would add a lower color spectrum but I also heard the bright has all the spectrums). I placed a small fan for air circulation but no ventalation for the closet but I read the cfl won't get hot enough and the fan will be sufficient. The closet is painted white but I have been considering either foil or a glossy white poster boards for a wall around the plant to bounce the light off and possibly being able to open the door for fresh air with out disturbing the light. (Would it be bad to leave the door open during the 4 hours off or does it need complete darkness?).

Any comments suggestions and questions are welcomed and appreciated.

naw dont have to open the door for the six hours....hell imho i would leave the lights on 24 hrs a day.....and it being a white room is fine, just leave it.....do not put up tin foil, tin foil.... doesnt do anything but hurt reflection and retain heat

The foil was only a consideration for price but I actually just switched it to 4 off and was thinking about doing 24 on instead thanks

Cotos only have enough nutes to last the plant about 7 days.. The chewed up one looks like nothing to worry about. Not every sprout is perfect but I wouldn't say anything specific has caused it. It should recover just fine.

Cotos? What would be good to use for nutrients?
The first almost leaf looking things that are yellowing in your picture. There's a lot of nutrients that people use.. just look and decide from others' journals

I would say for reflective material, if you really want something buy some mylar. It's not expensive and its works great. also you should base what nutes you get off what kind of soiling your using. For example I'm using fox farm ocean forest soil so I'm using fox farm nutes along with it.

Well I'm using miricle grow organic soil I think. And I read miricle grow is not good to use. I'm not familiar with the different types and wasn't sure if there is certain nutrients to look for or stay away from.

You should not use a hot soil for seedlings, this is your issue, the built in nutes are impacting your baby

MG soil is not an issue, may people use it but you should use plain soil for the first while
