These are from seed. They were started in pint sized pots, transplanted to 2-gal pots until sexed (around 4 weeks), then transplanted to their current homes in 10-gal pots of my home made soil mix.
Here they are at day 56/57 of veg (pics taken last night), ready for 12/12. You can follow this grow (and all of my other organic gardening escapades) here, if you're interested:

First an enormous thanks to Nugbuckets and the rest of you guys and girls who have made this a very special thread.
I have read the thread through but still have a couple of questions.
I only have one completed, one current crop in the flowering tent and one just started in the veg tent. I have used Shiva Skunk (fem) from Sensi each time. I like the plant and the smoke so this way I have one constant as I try different techniques.
Shiva Skunk is 80/20 Indica strain, has a short internode distance and does not stretch much after the 12/12 switch.
3x3x6 flowering tent. 400W HPI/HPS
3x2x3 veg tent. 110W Neon.
I am switching to a hydro drip recirculating system (Waterfarm plus ACS reservoir).
Finally my questions:
Does anyone have experience with mainlining Shiva Skunk or other Indica's with a real short internode distance?
Anyone done mainlining yet using hydro? (Maybe I missed it). I assume it shouldn't really make a difference but maybe someone knows something.

As Nugbuckets stated somewhere in the beginning of this thread, mainlining tends to add about 10 days to your veg time. However, this time is not wasted; your plant is still growing roots and building a strong foundation.
I remember reading that but, is that 10 days per topping? Will making 64 colas or 4 both only add 10 extra days?
Nevermind I found this:
"There has been some confusion as to building a manifold, and how much time it takes, i have found that building a proper manifold only adds an average of 10-21 days on to the total veg cycle, but i average about 14 days......the more you Main-Line, the more you will learn exactly when the plant is ready to be pruned and bonded....one must watch the plant very closely for her to tell you when she is ready to be pushed....
newbie growers don't really have this down yet, and it translates into added veg time.......also, clones take longer period.....
i highly recommend beginners starting out main-lining with a seedling, they are geneticly programmed to build a strong root mass out of the gate, (which is critical when it comes to how quickly the young plant will recover from pruning/bonding), as they are putting on early vegatative growth....a clone is a bit more tempermental."

I like the plant to grow quite a bit before I make the first cut. This allows the main stem and root system to get big. I also don't defoliate until I have the desired number of mains. I think this allows the plant to produce more energy and grow faster during the toppings.

Oh, I know. I grow in coco/perlite.
I was asking why you suggest hempy instead of the supersoil.

My last grow was with Ocean forest, I much prefer the ease of the Hempy and I seem to get better growth from the Hempy.
