Soil and Water Question

I have started a little growing field in the woods about two miles behind my house. I have some ordinary seeds that were around my city to use. I found a great spot for my field and started raking and clearing the roots out as best I could. The soil looks pretty decent to me but I really have no ideah what good weed soil is. What characteristics should I look for in the soil I am looking at using? I was also planning on using water from a local stream near my plot to prevent suspision. Would this be ok to use? Keep in mind this is my first run and will take anything including some hagard ass weed.


Also is there a way to know if your seeds are indica or sativa?

well bud i rew outside for awile.,I always dug a hole way deeper than you needed and i would mix up some old rotton cow shit with dirt in it and abou 1gallon of water..you put the shit in the hole then a 4 or 5 inch layer of dirt then the plant then back fill with dirt. then i dump the shit a foot away from the stalk all the way around the plant and about 2 months later mix up a little fresher shit with water and feed them one more. i hope i helped you a little thats what i did and it works great.

you wont know if the seed is indica or sativa untill it sprouts and has a few leaves and then you will know if the plant is indica or sativa by leaf shape.
indicas(fat/wide bushy leaves)
sativa(thin long leaves).

both are just as good as one another i just depends on when you harvest the plant(thricome colour).
mostly all seeds are a crossbreed of sativa and indica anyway.
