I've read quite a lot of threads about MAINLINING
- special THANKS to NUGGBUCKETS MAINLINE THREAD
(I really don't understand why NUGGBUCKETS MAINLINE THREAD
hasn't been made into a STICKY???).
However, I am still unsure at what point I should make the first cut?
Started from seed:
The 1st NODE isn't a 'real' node.
It's the cotyledon leaves
which are part of the original seed material.
They are more rounded, tear shaped and smooth edged
than actual leaves.
The first actual leaves (with ragged edges)
appear from the 1st real NODE.
HOW MANY 'ACTUAL' NODES NEED APPEAR BEFORE I MAKE THE FIRST CUT?
I have TOPPED cuttings
and I have witnessed how the TOPPED plant
produces an ANTELOPE HORNS TYPE SYMMETRICAL SPLIT
on the NODE below the CUT.
I've never grown from seed before
and would welcome direction
about how to PRUNE
in order to create FOUR or EIGHT MAIN STEMS.
?????????????????????????????????
Many thanks (in advance) for any help given.
