was woundering if anyone could identify this problem ppl send mites but I cannot find any. It's dwc 3 part gh flora, RO Water with 200-300ppms of cal-mag during veg now in flower I'm using 400ppm of mag-plus not affecting new growth just lower and mid canopy starts off as spots then starts browning and killing the leafs fan. I keep ppms at around 1100-1300 thanx second week of flower. Really could use some help thanx image.jpg

Hey! You can add all the cal/mag you want but if the PH of your water/ soil isn't correct then your roots won't absorb it. It looks like a Mg deficiency (and you're adding Mg) so it leads me to believe the plant is not benefiting from it. Your water can be a little too acidic (low PH) and the Mg will not be used by the lovely lady, instead you'll have the browning crispy edges mostly near the bottom half of the plant.

My ph stays at 5.8 and I never have to adjust it always stays right there should I try and up it to like 6.5 or so I'm in dwc . Thanx

I start off with the RO water that is 20ppms then I add 300 ppms of mag-plus then I add 400 ppms of bloom 300 micro . And 200 of grow. My ppms come out to around 1200-1300 and the next day I lose 3/4 to a gallon of water ppms will still be sitting at 1200-1300 then when I add the gallon of water back I just add back nutes to 1200-1300 starting with the mag-plus then k-p-n,thanx oh and sorry the water temps go from around 68 in morning and around 73 hottest point of day never no slime or stink all roots are bright white

i remember the first time i had mites. i thought i couldnt find them either. pic 3 is mites,i'm 99.9% sure,(the other 0.01 percent reserved for some new fungus that mimics mites)the easiest way to tell is take your microscope and thump and heavy spotted leaf on some dark papper and watch. i did this and it will make most horror movies look like kids t.v. programming.needless to say you're going to see them zip past your view. if not, look at the underside of the same leaf. those white balls are eggs. pics 1 i would go with mag def. or a wild guess wind burn?

Thanx I sprayed the other day with azamax , I will spray agian in 2 days have dowsing with pump sprayer I have anthor plant right there in soil and it is not showing these signs , but I will keep spraying and watch my upper canopy scents it's not showing these signs either. I will take some other photos tonight that might help a little to thanx , and I wil do that test but I haw seen mites there pretty easy for me to see and on none of the leaves affect can I see them. Thanx

HeyTone,

Yes 5.8 is too low. 6.5 is ideal for soil. That hits all the main and trace nutrients.
