Lol ya I wouldn't give myself a 3 year warranty for a second. Ill go with diamond xml or solarstorm, they both look very nice. I'm just trying to decide whether 88x5w with uvb or 144x3w with 10 10w added is better.

I'll always have that manly DIY itch...just not when I'm busy with a life :P DIY is a winter activity. By then some serious cobbage will be out,,,and I WILL one up you. Not in a dirty pinky way :O
Yes im sure you will have some serious cabbage....Oh cobbage! (misread) Sorry but the cabbage story is more believable... :)

I just really want to see 1g/watt if I spend $1000+ on a light that's drawing 380w but with everything dialed in perfect most people are getting like .4g/watt, granted most are new growers.
Learn canopy management. I was frustrated with the yield. Started at .1gpw. Now with the same light .6gpw. Before I buy more light I make sure I'm maxxing out my ladies by flattening them and tying back. LST. Keep on keeping

-Your plants will need more Cal/Mg under LED's
-You can let the room get into the 80's (without fear)
-You don't need to water as often
-Lollipop your plants!

With cheap LED's, that's the case, with good LED's, that's not the case.
I get around 24"-30" of penetration from my LED lights with 1W diodes.
My lights with 3W and 5W diodes get much better penetration, though.
I agree, also w/ the newer lensed leds i am seeing huge #s on a light meter at the soil of untopped plants. Penetration is now deep! lol

No problem with that put the light 12" above and thin them a little

With that kind of budget you could build some really nice panels. Bridgelux vero 18/29 cobs have been showing some promising results.

Since the last post of this thread anyone been running the advance XML or solar 440?

I've narrowed my options down to these solar 440, XML 350, and GrowBlu 180x3 and Area 51.
