Hello. I'm hoping someone can give me some sort of advice as I am in a tricky situation. I've been a part of a grow in California, about 350 plants just beginning to flower, 150 in veg and 15 mothers. The grow is in a very secluded indoor warehouse, nowhere near schools or houses. It is only for medicinal purposes, never sold on the streets. Two weeks ago I saw two sheriffs officers outside on our private property. After returning inside I heard a dog barking (assuming it was a narcotics K9). After waiting about 20 minutes I left and they had left the property as well. I was expecting a raid but now two weeks have passed and nothing has happened yet. In the meantime we collected 150 patient recommendations and agreements from a local collective and have placed them on the property. The property itself is owned by a LLC with one shareholder who's name is not on public record. The car parked outside of the building at the time is registered to another LLC also no name connected. The thing is, the insurance on the vehicle and the electricity bill on the building are paid by someone who is on "bench probation" for a previous marijuana charge. I'm worried that with this info and the sheriffs on the property with a dog they will have enough for a search warrant. I'm surprised they haven't entered already. I have no criminal record and just want to grow medicine without worrying about facing jail time. Does anyone have any advice for me as to how to make sure everything is compliant with California law? What are the chances that there will be a raid in the near future? I feel like the odds are against us in this situation but I believe in this and love growing so to shut down and dump it all feels terrible. On the other hand, I'm not willing to have a felony on my record or face jail time! I've done a lot of research into California law and previous cases but I'm still unsure of how protected we are with the collective, and I realize we aren't protected federally. I don't trust the collective or their patients to testify in court to say that the plants are their property. Seeing as I'm the one who's there 99% of the time I feel like it would all fall on me. Anyone with any friendly advice would be greatly appreciated as I'm scared to death right now!
