My latest clone cuts look pretty shit I just decided that come harvest time I'm going to go for the old fashioned reveg with the 2 I'm trying to keep around. It would be a lot easier if I hadn't cut all the bottom 1/4 of the plants when I was fighting mites. I'll figure out something though! I'll uproot them, trim the root mass down to a size so that I can get them into 1gal pots and under the veg light.

Hate to break it to you but the harborside chemdawg 4 isnt legit. It grows big and yields but has absolutely no chem/diesel smell to it.

Well that's not what I want t hear! Funny I've been in flower for a bit and haven't even fondled a bud to see how it smells. Guess I should see what it smells like when I get home. Thanks for the input.

Trust me, I wish it was the real chem 4. I grew it out and was dissapointed.

I did get a fondle on it the other night and it had a little rubber cement smell. I don't know what the original is supposed to smell like either though cuz I've never grown it before. It kinda reminded me of the dog which I've grown out before.

Yes it will have a slight smell. However, once you dry and cure it the smell is almost non existent. It should smell like pinesol/lemon-citrus/gas and literally stink up a whole house. At least the real chem 4 I have smelled did.

I took clones last night. 8 of the chemdawg, and 1 ea of the shark shock and mk ultra. The shark shock in flower is pretty much dead. I'd probably have thrown it away by now if it wasn't in the back corner of the room. I still have a clone of it though, bug free and want to give it a fair shot.

After my last 2 cloning stints my confidence is completely shot. It's funny, cloning used to be so easy to me that I didn't even really think about it! My last 2 rounds of clones were bad, and last time I had a 40% success rate. Not awesome!

I pulled out all the stops this round. Bought some rapid rooters instead of using the happy frog. Bought some clonex instead of using the powder I had. Ph'd my water to 5.8 instead of using tap water with no a measurement. Hell I even bought a new razor and wore gloves this time! I also had a fan that was running in the area and although I have a dome it was still drying It out fairly quick, so fans off. I could tell just after 12 hours that they are looking much better than my previous attempts.

I think the bottom line of it all is just the ph really. I hadn't checked my tap lately and it was up at 8.5 or more. Because my moms are small and didn't have a shit ton of clones to give is really need these to root well in order for next round to go well. Harvest is in about 4 weeks so that gives me 2 weeks to root, and 2 weeks to start veg before they transplant into the room. We'll see how it goes.

Just finished drying, let go one day too long, but taste and smell is up there, noticed after several hits off the pipe or joint the nose burnsss...Chem 4, 2 plants - 1.5 Ozs --- 9/10 - taste and stoniness.
Cali Connection - Chemdog 4 , the secret appears to let them go 9-10 weeks.

Have you tried a ez cloner yet? I couldnt clone for crap without one. Once I got it I've had basically a 100% rate. I dont ph the water or anything. Just come straight out the tap and turn it on.

PH is a factor you are just lucky with how yours come out! Mine was good up till about 6 months ago, and now its up over 8.5. I think hydro cloning is definitely the easiest and fastest way to get cuts rooted, I just don't like going from there into soil. If I was growing hydro I would absolutely use that method though.

This grows just been not fun. My 1k ballast died last night, took the timer with it. Which I didnt realize till this morning when my lights were still on at 10am. It tripped the GFI so yay for wiring my room safely.

I ordered a Quantum 600 ballast and Hortilux bulb and will use the 1k hood. So I'll officially be down to 1200 watts. I was going to order 2 1k setups cuz the power hungry side of me said go for it! Then I got realistic because I can still add another 600 later and I'd rather have 3 6's then 2 1k's. I have everything crammed under the 600 for now and should have the other stuff tuesday.

I haven't posted many pics this round. I guess thats a good thing for some people. Just means I'm none too proud of the condition of my room! Everyone is under a single 600 atm. I should have my other 600 tuesday. I'm also fixing my 1k ballast soon and happen to have a vert fixture for it... hmmm maybe a 1k hanging in the middle with 2 600's on the side? I could really fill out the whole room with those watts.

This is the Shark Shock that really went tits up after the assault I gave them to kill the mites. I should have tossed it but thought eh, oil it will be.

Im anxious to get this mess of a grow behind me and back on track doing things better. Those last clones I took 5 days ago are all looking great with whatever new not lazy steps I took to get them, they look like they might all root.

Seems lots of us have had a rough winter with our grows between mites, PM, cold weather (put a serious crimp & slowdown on my current grow) & other mystery problems.
But your healthy ones are looking nice & frosty
But, I'm also looking forward to my next grow so I can put this one behind me.

Just a heads up. The chem 4 will never look finished. It will still pop white pistils at week 10,11,12.

Do you ever mix spectrums? Like rock a 1000 mh in the middle and then the 2 600s hps

I heard it helps with crystal production, I think that would be bad ass in there.

You know I started running with both spectrums once or twice and something just tugs at the back of my brain that won't let me carry it on more than a week or 2!
