My humble thoughts....
Forget tane and other solvents. IPA is relatively safe and easy, and just like everything else if done properly it can produce a top quality product, but I don't recommend it unless you are concerned with accurately dosing your own edibles.
I've considered h2o as well, and if you love it as much as I do you'll consider doing whole plant with it instead of just trim. I however decided it's too much trouble for me when I can get really good solventless at the dispensary.
In the end I landed on keeping my tops for smoke, dry sieve all the trim and untrimmed lower, then cooking washed coconut oil. Easiest path and gives plenty of good smoke/eat.
PS> You can also cook or soak fresh frozen trim into cooking oil, leaves more of a plant taste tho.
