cheap drip system with super soil is it possible??

Ok I'm vegging 4 critical Kush and cooking super Soil.. Finishing in 20 litre air Pots, I was going to just water myself but was thinking I might be able to get a cheap pump and let it water itself I'll just be using unPH'd tap water that's been left to sit for 24 hrs so it would be sooo easy :) but I have very little knowledge of doing this.. I saw on YouTube how to make the circular tube thing with 4 plug type things and know i'd have to plug the pump into a timer but I don't know how to control the amount of water or how much water i'd give for a 20 ltr pot? Or how often the pump would be switched on and how long for? Does anybody have any knowledge of this or know where I can find this kind of info? Any advice would be very appreciative.

I think 1/2 gal for each pot would work. Check out Tropf Blumat Auto Water System... no power needed. Really good reviews.

Cool thanks I'll check it out now. Also i just saw a cheap bag drip system from ebay you just hang up the bag and fill it with water and has adjustable taps do you think that would for the trick?

Maybe run every other day for a few minutes. The Tropf have ceramic tips that check moisture and water accordingly.
With my setup I water every 4 days or so... not too inconvenient.

I tried an auto water system once, but stopped doing it.
Some plants drink more than others, so I was not able to control each tip to the plants. I found watering by hand is more accurate to serve my plants needs, as I can control how much water to provide each one separately.
With a big enough container, it is not too big of an inconvenience every few days. Also, When I water, I can examine the plants as well, keeping a better eye on them.
If you make your system too automatic, you may find more unnoticed problems developing.
... Just my 2 cents.

I googled it but not sure which kit to get? Is it like a pump that would just water automatically if you kept the bucket or what ever container topped up with water?

Yeh I get where you're coming from prohuman maybe I'm being too lazy.. It would save a lot of time though and I'd also be doing training and super cropping so would be paying some attention to them

I think maybe I will just hand water at least I won't be having to add nutes and ph I was also thinking of getting cheap scales and putting them under each plant so I can judge exactly when to water maybe that's a better idea..

Haha ok I think I'll just hand water I'm pretty new to this will be my 2nd grow I've never trained or super cropped do u have experience with this? I want to try training it by pushing outer stems down until ready to super crop and i want to lollipop them. Do you know how many weeks from seed i should do this? I also have started a grow journal but not many people on it as it's quite new

Topping meaning cutting the main bud off? I'm not sure if I want to do that I was just going to lollipop (trim the lower stuff) and super crop I want to have nice fat buds on the top getting all the light..

Basically my understanding is i can train the stems so they have even space then super crop also evenly spaced then when it's healed lollipop.. Will super cropping once be enough? Sorry so many questions I'm just excited to use all the new knowledge i have and still getting :)

Topping is done during the vegetative stage, there are no buds to cut off.
You should read some threads, and get a general clue.
