Funniest thing is everyone bitches there light is better than the next. Funniest thing is. The companies are the ones taking it to the bank. So I don't think anyone's gives a fuck if your light comes from outer space. Simply put up what ever light lights u want a grow. Quit debating what's better. Hell I just cut over a pound of beautiful diesel stinking nugs. 90% off of a virtual sun digital combo at 229.00. Included 2 bulbs. I finished last 3 weeks with hortilux super hps. So with that said. SHUT THE FUCK UP AND GROW YOU PRETENTIOUS MUTHER JUMPERS. LMAO

i'm sure UncleBen would be happy to pass on some tips that dude grows a mean Daffodil !

i have just seen a thread where a dude is posting pictures of his stamped passport to show how well traveled he is lol
albeit the passport is no longer valid the stamps are from 2000

nice to see someone put their money where their mouth is though makes a pleasant change even if others consider it boastful

agreed. if you are using lights always have a spare around just incase.

Replace all the white crap they put on the back of the LED's with decent thermal paste like Artic Silver, also change the Thermal Tape on the heatsink bars to thinner, better stuff, (even cellotape works better then that gold crap they put on it, its too thick to transfer heat away properly), that helps them cool better, they wont blow as much,

anyhoo its really easy to test to see what LED is faulty and replacing one isn't that hard either, that's why I personally still like them, solid, robust and upgradeable, but each to their own eh?

I have LEDs from those to the newest OSRAM releases on my forum at the moment, so am spoilt for choice, but I still have a place in my growers heart for my first ever LED. This one.

But I will add that the LED that i bought & tested, even tho it looked like a Apollo had a totally different and better spectrum, & like I said before, it was available here locally aswell for a good price. No importing from china etc... 3 year warranty and the supplier was just a phone call away at all times, still Is now. Excellent customer service. [/QUOT

Heres a grow I did with one of the first LEDs of that kind to arrive in the uk, many years ago, way before the Apollo was even available here, The Gn-Ms0006.
I changed the middle two modules for pure reds @ 660nms to increase flowering, it worked ok, got pretty good results.

One on right is Tangerine Dream Photoperiod and one on left is Big Bang Photoperiod.
The TD went bonkers and nearly outgrew me cab!

yeah mate , the TD turned out lovely, was like smoking jaffa cakes, really zesty, took 14 weeks to finish tho, long one that, but worth it.
