It doesn't show up as "WEED".. Your safe.. "minor infraction" is what the final charge was filed as, for my friend(no lawyer). When it shows as weed is when they drag you in to the jail because you had to much vs. state law.. usually an ounce or more in most places then you get probation and/or prison depending on the amount and HAVE to go to court not mail it in..

Because generally speaking, marijuana's effects only last a short period of time and when one is outdoors for an extended period of time (like at the beach), one may wish to renew the effect.

You obviously don't leave the house for more than 1-2 hours at a time...

If you file the proper paperwork it will be expunged. I'm talking about the court saying "If you go to a class and stay out of trouble for 1 year...the charge and arrest will come off of your record."

They say this to help sway people into pleading guilty. They leave out the part about you having to file paperwork, and doing extra things to have it expunged.

You can't even take a shit without paperwork.

Which South Carolina law or statute were you charged with?

Are the police supposed to send you a substance analysis report in a given time frame? If they don't do this or follow some other rule it is possible you can get the case tossed. Sorry to hear you have been assailed by the State.

Yeah, unless it doesn't work, and then things get very sticky. Doc says that you will spend 6 months in jail waiting to get a 2 to 5 year sentence. That isn't true any more as small amounts of most drugs are no longer big crimes. Except if you are entering the country with them btw. But he is still right in essence, your best bet is always to never ever become involved with the Mexican justice system in any way "but I'm An AMERICAN" doesn't get you anything but laughed at.

I was involved in a few situations that led to jail for some of my friends, none of it is pretty. The one friend tried just such a stunt, he asked what it would take for him to get out of the consequences of having made a u turn in the middle of what passes for a freeway in Baja. He offered the cop a hundred and found himself in jail for attempting to bribe an officer. Took us two weeks and several thousand dollars to get him out. He has never gone to Mexico again and doesn't talk about his "vacation" behind bars. At all.
