The French Cannoli` Hash Thread

I also wanted to ask you Frenchy that if we get this workshop up and going if it would be possible to run a cooking section as well, as far as what to do with the 160 and what not. I feel it would be very benefical to a lot of people. I say this because the salve I make from my hash concentrate that's also edible is the only thing that's helping a cancer patients tumor.

I recently made butter with some 160 and a little 45. To avoid overheating I made a "Bain Marie" ie Boiled water in a large pot and then melted the medicine with butter in a 2nd smaller pot of water.
Sort of a home made double boiler. Anyway, I experimented adding soy lecithin as it's reported to aid the emulsion. The result is super potent. Has anyone else used soy lecithin to aid in extraction for edibles ?
I can't believe I just skipped over this, but yes I use it every edible and non-edible I make now. Including the Salve I make.

I used 2 tablespoons of soy lecithin for 4 sticks of butter. How much do you use?
My butter came out the color of soy sauce but it was super strong.

I use a teaspoon to 4 tablespoons of organic cold pressed coconut oil, but I usually cook about 6 to 10 grams of hash to that coconut oil depending on the potency of the hash. So the amount you used seems about right.

Sure but not on the same day, the workshop is a good 8 hour long

Hey hash heads, it been a while.

I'm sure this has been covered already, and I do remember reading some on the subject but since I'm harvesting now I though it couldn't hurt to ask.
I'm wondering what the consensus is on using fresh trims/bud vs. dry trims/bud? Iv always ran it dry but am considering running some fresh tonight.

Hope all is well,,, do expect some hash porn from me in the near future :-)

:peace:

The effects of the cannabinoids are different when ingested because your liver does the "processing" which is different than when the cannabinoids go through the blood barrier.
Your drink must be similar to my coffee drink but you cannot call it Bhang Lassi, already taken for a very different drink. Google it. Nonetheless your special tea Indian style sounds good enough that I will try it.
All the best and don't be afraid to ask questions that may have been covered, I understand that this thread is a long read and repetition is not bad anyway for you guys plus I don't mind
Thanks Frenchie!
Maybe when I googled I shoulda had my new rx for my glasses done eh? lol
Quick question for any and all: any differences in mesh sizes for dry-sifting sativas vs indica? If this is redundant my apologies. Maybe it's an experimentation thing viz a viz strain too?

awesome thread!

The trichomes size varies slightly but stay in the same range between 45 to 120 and slightly over, you can use the same bags for both.

If you are fond of the fresh frozen, try just fresh. You will be much happier! No need for freezing and freezing lets more chlorophyll into the water. I will run fresh buds for having some hash quickly after harvest, but dry and cured trim can give just as good results.
Here is some of my Kush Dr hash that I make from dried and cured about 1 month material-
