Yes, they are still not producing any new leaves either. I gave them a little fertilizer, hoping to see some new foliage soon! sorry I haven't posted in a few days, been swamped
- when did you plant them last year?
sorry i should have asked what time did you transplant?spring summer fall?Yes, they are still not producing any new leaves either. I gave them a little fertilizer, hoping to see some new foliage soon! sorry I haven't posted in a few days, been swamped
I planted the first one in spring, then the last two in summer.sorry i should have asked what time did you transplant?spring summer fall?
well damn, that's discouraging..probably is the case with the latter two. I am pretty sure the oldest one will come back with the right care. I hope...hmm and all are not sprouting? often summer transplants get too dry and fail bc roots cannot establish in the surrounding soil.
Thanks a bunch Liddle, I will keep that in mind.. preciate all ya'lls advice, will keep you posted!give the stems toward the base a little scrape. if green inside give em a chance. if not compost them =). good luck =)
this is sad news...they were so beautiful last year guess I'll have to start over at my new place, was going to dig them up and take them with me. Thanks for the good vibes broi have a sneaking suspicion the hydrangea might be a gonner. not having any buds pushing out now when everything else is showing signs of life..its not a good sign. you'll know for sure in a month rosey...the cool weather will "keep" things much like putting a corsage in the fridge but as soon as the summer arrives..if its dead or dieing you'll know for sure....i'll say a prayer to saint jude...the patron saint for lost causes
your pic didn't come through...sounds awesome though, can you post again?now you can get a grafted hydrangea Tree!
my god! that is so beautiful what a great idea!!
