what are some tips to drying bigger buds to help avoid mold?
I was talking about his big buds, but sure mate I'll take an interest in your dryer.I don't think I have any pics of the dryer I made. I threw it together real quick towards the end of last summer. I found a DIY somewhere.. might have been on here.. then modified it to fit my needs. I think the whole thing cost me like $35 to build and I'm hoping to need at least two more this year. lol
yes wow I'm so mad, maybe JUST MAYBE in the very far future, I can find it in my shriveled, black heart to forgive you for this treasonous sin.Oh.. haha. I wasn't sure. Sorry!
So if I have mammOth balls, I can wash them with a blue loofah sponge then? What if I have termite balls?...Just joking..... Mr.nickelz419, Don't understand......?..... You would dry large buds the same as tiny buds. Just like large nuts are washed the same as tiny nuts (lol) . Unless you got some sort of mameth sized bud that needs a sailor rope to hang by....? I don't know, maybe your saying too large to place in mason jar?????? If that's what your refering to then simply cut bud in pieces ..
I have dried the same as tiny buds and got mold. I also have cut up the bud before drying, but then you would have to dry on a flat surface and or too much handling than I want. I guess ill just have a fan directly on them with a dehumidifier, or ill just fresh freeze and blast into waxJust joking..... Mr.nickelz419, Don't understand......?..... Very good question, a question that many don't have the balls to ask....simply use a child size soft tooth brush, preferably one that has been worn out a little. Worn makes it much nicer and not so scratchy in that hard to reach area between the nut sack and your asshole. So if I have mammOth balls, I can wash them with a blue loofah sponge then? I like you. You have a good mind, which is a terrible thing to waste.Very good question, a question that many don't have the balls to ask....simply use a child size soft tooth brush, preferably one that has been worn out a little. I have a closet with a small dehumidifier and a small fan in it. temps are 75-80 and humid is 50-65... the time I had mold on them was before I even chopped it down. these buds were just grossly big/ I used to think big buds cool.... i like the big buds just not the mammoth sized ones because its so easy to get mold, also bigger buds usually means the plant has less thc. since i turn 90% into wax anyways. wish i had the space and resources to fresh freeze blast all of it. im only gonna get a lb or less but its 90% personal. Are you trying to dry your weed in the same room you’re growing? Because your bud needs darkness and low humidity to dry properly. Plus , not sure if you are, but a lot of people try to dry too quickly not allowing their bud to completely dry before placing them in mason jars or whatever you may be using....?.....Drying bud needs darkness, so a good place to do it is in a closet. If you do not have a closet, you can use a cardboard or wooden box, with air holes cut into the sides to allow air flow. Use some washing line, fishing line, making sure it is able to take the weight of the bud you’re drying. The easiest way to attach your hanging bud is by using a clothes pin hanging from the stem, otherwise bendy garden wire works well, but I'm sure you have a good way yourself on hanging, just thought I'd throw that in...But what I am getting at is to make sure that where your drying your temp is between 65 and 75°F (18-24°C) and humidity is between 45 and 55%. Low temperatures will increase the humidity, which increases the time it takes for your bud to dry and increases the risk of MOLD. High temperatures will reduce the humidity of your drying space and will dry your weed too fast. Best of luck and I am sure all will go well....
