Tent growing is a bitch, look what I had to do.

I have a small tent compared to most 4x4, not really big. I'm use to growing in rooms with a lot more space.

Anyway, I had to buy TWO, not one, TWO, TWO FOOT FILTERS!

If that wasn't enough now I'm battling heat issues 84F in my flower room.

Have no idea what the fuck do to.

My filter wasn't working like so

Filter > Ducting > Light > Ducting > Light > Fan Exhaust > Ducting > Outside.

For some reason it was smelling a ton still.

Now I have it Filter>Fan>Ducting>Light>Ducting>Light>Ducting>Outside

Probably is I'm battling heat issues now more than ever, I can't use my A/c because its loud and not hot enough to not cause suspicion (60-70F outside, A/c on, very loud, whos not gonna be like wtf?)

What do you suggest?

I have one filter and fan pushing air through the bulbs and outside, and another filter and fan at the bottom of the tent filter air to the outside but not through lights.

Both ductings are now smell proof, I smell nothing but rubber (Ducting is rubber and fiberglass)

but now I have 85F in flower room, which is way too hot, and I can't use Co2 (Don't live in a house and my area has a ton of Co2 detectors.)

Need help, only week 2 in flower, want to make sure I get this under control before it causes too much stress on the plants.

This is why i mothballed my tent. They can be so tough if you have low rh, etc. the tougher the environs the harder to get a baseline

My suggestion: closed circuit for the lights. pull outside air in through lights. dump it back outside.
This way you subtract a lot of heat from the tent.
Sorry dude. That's all i can think of.
Similiar boat: a/c installed but can't run it yet.

Yea I guess I'll either run the lights on low till the weather allows me to use my A/c or I'll just have to find another better setup.
I thought about closed circuit outside air, but the issue was the ducting it would have like a million zigzags and complicate things.

They can be a total drag man. I fought with one at my old place. hassle after hassle. I find it's easier to do up a window with a/c.and a closed circuit and go for it. I know you're stuck. Maybe try a separate intake feed and 'y' them together before the fan(s). idk it gets tricky.

Yea spent about $400 on the filter + fan combos this week alone, I don't mind spending extra but after a while its questionable the amount of money I spend. I don't sell or make a profit in any way, shape, or form. Everything I grow is either given away to friends and family when they are broke, or I smoke it myself.

What are you running for a fan???I have a 5x5 and only have heat issues in dead of summer.
What type of setup do you have? I have a 4x4 but the problem is I use 2 400W in giant hoods so they take up space.

If its any help, I have 2 6 Inch inline, 2 filters, a lot of ducting, 3 turbo fans, and 2 clip fans. Sadly I don't have a osc fan, but I may get one soon for the bottom of the pots.

Temps right now are 86F and thats with one light at 75%

Run that window unit.
The window unit I have in my flower room has a heat setting,I don't use it but when it is on heat it runs the same as when it's on cool. From the outside its the same. I run it year round and if anyone would raise a eyebrow I'll tell them it's on heat.

pita. i've notice that once you go below a certain volume things get really tough to control. No buffer or very little. hope you can get something working. worst comes to worst, I'd turn a light off or alternate 1 on 2off then 1 off 2 on. Heath robinson ran 2 600watters this way @ 2 hour intervals and did very nicely.

Never thought of that, I have two timers already too, that is a great idea.

I'll have both on a 1hr timer, but for 10 mins both are on so its not dark for any amount of time.

I'll see about trying to control heat a different way when I rearrange the plants. If nothing works, I'll go this route till it starts to get 75F at least outside.

@ Polo

My A/c doesn't have a heat option.
Regardless of any setting my A/c is pretty loud, but not louder than most in my area. I just don't want to annoy anyone in the slightest. I've been doing fine just keeping things quiet even with 2 inlines at 75-100%

yeah you are running more light than me and i have a cool tube fixture but i mounted the fan insde at top of tent I draw air and heat from inside with a 650cu ft/min fan then run it through duct out the roof in the side and through my light out the other side then out of my stove vent to outside(I put a y in)

I know this is gonna sound stupid but buy more fans so it just aerates the tent but a couple cheap fans like pc but big ones and just position them near lights.... Hope this elks or you have found another solution!!!!..:)

Fuck yeah! Right after I woke up today, I was shoved straight into showing my house. I literally woke up, walked to the pisser, started brushing my teeth, and I hear knocking. The realtor was a good 25 mins early lol. So I haven't gotten to do my wake n bake yet :( I should probably go do that now for the sake of good mood.

What blowers are you using? Are you talking about the little 6" booster fans? If so, I would switch to a 300+cfm blower and have it pull the air thorough everything. Use the booster fan as an intake. If it's already a good fan then can you draw cooler air into the tent from under the house or similar?

I have a 3x3x6 tent,
I run a 6" inIine 400 CFM in my tent next to the light.
It's Pulling air thru my light Hood from the inside of the tent and pumping out into the room.
I have a 4" 160 CFM inline outside my tent on the floor, it's drawing the air out and also dumping into the room, I have one 6" hard duct as a passive air entry to allow air into the tent.
I keep my ballast outside the tent as well.
I have fans in the tent, a 10" blowing across the space between light and plant and another 10" pointed upwards on the floor to mix the air in the tent.
My A/C runs all year round, the room temp is 74-76 the tent is 79-81.
The RH IS 56 in the tent, 54 outside the tent.

This keeps my 400 watt HPS and T5's from overpowering the tent.
I have not needed a filter as my grow seems to be a low smell strain.

My tent runs Very negative in pressure, so much that I had to add braces to keep the tent off my plant.

If I had my A/c running I wouldn't need all that other stuff to keep a 400W and T5s down.

An A/c would pretty much remove all my problems, all I would need to do is add a ducting from A/c directly to lights and a inline booster pushing air through the other end of the lights and outside the house.

I would just sit a carbon>Fan> Ducting outside from there to eliminate smell and I would be good.

A/c is a problem for at least another month give or take, no one in my area is using a A/c right now for obvious reasons, its cold.

Using 2 6" inlines thats a lot of power, its just being able to get rid of smell is harder than it should be because of the size of my filters and room of the tent and hoods.
