Help with plants!!

So i have 3 new clones purple cadillac, jilly bean, and super grape ape) for my indoor grow I bought a week ago and they all seem generally unhealthy and getting worse...

The basics:
Coco coir in 2.5 ga pots
Using coco a and b from house and garden
Distilled water at 6 ph
Soil at 7 ph
Runoff at 6.5 ph
Cfl 3-4 inches away (three 23 watt bulbs each)
35-40% humidity, temp 80-90 usually sits at 84
2 fans to circulate air

Hard to see from the pics but one plant has a lower leaf that is yellowing and rust looking spots on it (jilly bean). All plants are droopy and newer leaves on top are twisty. Some leaf edges are lightening in color and kinda crispy.

I think I may have over watered/over nut'd them (2 days water in a row and nutrients 1/4 strength each time--one ga water between all 3 both times). So I waited a few days to let the pots dry out and only watered them without nutes this time (roughly 1 ga water per plant).

I also poked holes in the soil to help it aerate. But now what? They seem worse after the watering...!

This is my first grow...so if my plants need to be flushed or are lacking nutrients do I have to wait til the soil is dry again before doing anything??

And since I took the pictures this morning they appear as though they have gotten lighter.

Help! I don't know what to do!

You watered 2 days in a row definitely over watering and nute burn just let them dry out for a couple days or so should perk back up

That may be the cause but I watered them yesterday after they were after waiting for the first two inches to be dry and the problems continue with their progression.

Get your heat down! Hitting 90 is NOT good!
RH should not go below 40% for any length of time.
These 2 things will become problems down the road if not controlled.

Its too hot and having the cfls 3" away is making things worse. Raise the light and work out a way to get it below 80. Exhaust fans for eg. Mh in cooltubes.
The clones still look ok, reduce watering and dont feed till they take hold in the soil, which can take 2 weeks or more.

I added an extra fan last night and the temp is topping at 79 now. I had then so close because the general advice said that cfl are useless passed 6-8 inches. And the clones are week old since I have purchased them today, but they seem rooted.

And as far as RH and temp go I have a very simple set up obviously and I have a water boiler that I can raise RH for a while but it doesn't stay that high and it makes the temp rise.

I noticed this morning that some of the plants have a root or two poking from the drainage holes. Is this from the over watering? Should I do anything or just let them dry out? They are clones a purchased a week and 1 day ago is it okay for the roots to have gone that far down while still showing the leaf problems?

you are watering way too much! Small plants don't need that much water. You probably have enough moisture in there now to supply them for days...

It is good that your roots are growing but unfortunate that they found their way through one of the drainage holes. This will be a delicate operation but maybe you can poke the root back through the hole back into the pot?

They are clones so they had a bunch of roots at the start, right? Then don't worry, if you lose just 1 or 2 roots they will survive. Remember it's a weed and weeds are generally resilient. these plants just have some growing pains and they are still acclimatizing to their new home.

Yea they did have quite a few roots from the start. I guess my steps now are carefully putting the roots back in combined with letting it dry out a shit load.

Sounds like a plan! Make sure your air exchange is as good as you can make it, it will help to draw out the excess moisture.

Well I have every fan I own circulating the air so now I just play the waiting game... Now the fun begins of watching soil dry!!

just to differentiate... air circulation will not help much to speed up the drying, it just churns around the moist air inside your grow space. Air Exchange will help a lot. I mean removing the moist air out of your grow space and replacing it with less moist air from outside the grow space.

How are they looking today NJ?

They are not showing signs of dying or recovery yet really so I'm not exactly sure.

I guess they appear to still be growing tiny new leaves just slowly. The bits of yellowing leaves have stayed to a sad light green shade.
