A "pheno" is defined as plants with different characteristics of the parents within a certain strain.
For example.
I once grew out 4 seeds POWER KUSH by DINAFEM.
I had 2 stocky plants, 1 tall lanky plant and 1 little runt.
All fed the same nutrients in a hydro system.
One pulled 5oz dry another 1.5oz dry and 2 pulled 3oz dry.
These were the same strain showing different characteristics of the parents from breeding.

this is exactly the way i like to word it, and always love comparing plants to people when ever possible.. pheno's are just the way the different chromosomes express themselves in each plant of the same strain..Basically,two brothers who are twins, but not identical are different phenos.
That is a nightmare, you're laying some pipe on slutty Hanna Montana and she turns into Justin Beibertwins..

damn wish i had a chance to do it hahaWhen I was in high school science class we bred Drosophila melanogaster (fruit flies) and we were trying to bring out a specific trait....all of mine flew away...I failed
thx i ll probly actually do that myselfYes. Here's a relatively simple article on the subject: http://askabiologist.asu.edu/punnett-squares
the life cycle is very short for fruit flies, you can do many generations in one semester. Weed would take longerdamn wish i had a chance to do it haha
would be better if the teacher lets us to learn by using mj plants
even better if we can enjoy the knowledge as well as the end product
