I did try The Goo back then and I remember well it was very tasty and an awesome smoke.
I wonder what the cross is? Might have to Google it.
There is some pot called Blue Goo and some called Super Goo I know of.
ahh, my bad rory, thought you were talking about goo, or pure goo as it's called, but gooey breeder..im talking about "the goo"..apothecary had it years ago befor the raid..i was lucky enough to get a pound on the east side..never had it since..my number one, best ever...
for me, i guess it all depends on what that strong taste is.. for instance, i'd rather have a weaker say hashy taste, than a stronger tasting cat piss taste.. so where i'm going here?I personally find its more about the intensity of the flavour rather than the flavour itself. See if i can explain myself.
Different strains have different tastes but theyre still weed. I think finding an orange taste or a dank musty taste for instance, theyre different but both ''equally'' nice. Now if one of those tastes is more accentuated than the other, i.e when you exhale you get more of the flavour than the inhale and how long taste lingers in the mouth for than you are more likely to prefer that strain due to the intensity of flavour.
Am i way off base? Would you not prefer something that has a strong taste rather than something you can hardly taste at all?
Ah the cat piss skunk pheno man. I want that so bad. I had some of it in Wales back in the early 90s and i will never ever fucking forget that taste and smell. It had me off my tits like a dickhead too. Oh how it smelled.for me, i guess it all depends on what that strong taste is.. for instance, i'd rather have a weaker say hashy taste, than a stronger tasting cat piss taste.. so where i'm going here?
i'm not disagreeing with you, as i don't have much experience with organic, but i hear it all of the time how organic tastes better, but some how in my head, i can't make sense out of this.. to me, organic vs. chemical nutes, isn't the say for intstance, nitrogen, the same chemical whether it comes from bird shit, organic, or man made, chemical? Also I think the best grow method for achieving strongest(not best) taste is in hydro with a mix of inert and organic nutrients and a 3 week flushing period. I have only been messing with real organics for a couple of years though i am inexperienced in comparisson to hydro, however organicaly grown weed tastes more 'real' and sweeter than the same strain in hydro with inert and organic nutes, which i tend to prefer even if taste isnt as strong. Im talking about a close to 20% intensity in flavour.
With chemical fertelizers one is adding salts directly to the medium not giving a chance for the bacterial and microbial activities to take place. In organics you are adding organic material to the medium that HAS to be broken down by god know how many little agents before it can be of any use to the plant.i'm not disagreeing with you, as i don't have much experience with organic, but i hear it all of the time how organic tastes better, but some how in my head, i can't make sense out of this.. to me, organic vs. chemical nutes, isn't the say for intstance, nitrogen, the same chemical whether it comes from bird shit, organic, or man made, chemical?
i just don't understand how what essentially are the same nutrients, with the same amount of protons and electrons floating around, can both produce different tastes.. again, i'm not saying it doesn't, as i've never really tried organic bud, and fuck me if i'm paying pretty much double the price for most organic foods to see for myself.. just pretty much thinking out loud here..
that's why i always lol at people who say to use molasses in soil to feed the beasties and they're using chem nutes.. i'm always like hello, the chems are already killing the beasties you're trying to feed with the molasses.. /rant lol..With chemical fertelizers one is adding salts directly to the medium not giving a chance for the bacterial and microbial activities to take place. Im not gonna try to explain it in more detail because i would probably explain it incorrectly, I think SpicySativa might be able to give you a really good explanation as to what is behind it.
One thing i know for sure, plants look way happier and healthier grown organically than in hydro. And i mean organic no bottled nutes. Also i find its half the stress and half the work. I think using chemical fertelizers in soil is a complete waste, youre basically killing all the living organisms present that are benefecial to the plant. If going chemical best to go hydro.
so true! You should have seen this grow shop workers face when i showed him my buds and he asked what booster do i use? i said er molasses, 5 liters for 20 euro cant beat that. He was baffled and showed me what he uses for 140 euro for the same amount. Not only i tink wont be as effective as mollasses but also would probably only last him a run or two if that. Im sure i wont be buying molasses for another year or so lol.that's why i always lol at people who say to use molasses in soil to feed the beasties and they're using chem nutes.. i'm always like hello, the chems are already killing the beasties you're trying to feed with the molasses.. /rant lol..

why they feed beef cows grain month or so b4 slaughter what u eat is what u taste like,to a degree.and I know were not talkin beef .I grow soil and water not a lot of diff to me very subtle anyway. I will say though I think the soil cures better but no concrete evidence just opinoini'm not disagreeing with you, as i don't have much experience with organic, but i hear it all of the time how organic tastes better, but some how in my head, i can't make sense out of this.. to me, organic vs. chemical nutes, isn't the say for intstance, nitrogen, the same chemical whether it comes from bird shit, organic, or man made, chemical?

Actually man those plant boost things are a fucking SCAM. Only the ones that have a loot of amino acids and added hormones are effective, but then i dont like added hormones to my plants, they should be healthy enough to produce their own.
Also the flowering boosts, like pk boosts, all they do is take away whatever flavour you had and leave you with bigger buds with less taste.
The only bottled nute I own is a fish emulsion for foliar, everything else ill make myself or get the powders and mix it.
Also man enzymes are the other huge rip off. It makes me angry. Enzymes are fucking enzymes, there actually arent many factories that make it wprldwide. And the only difference between a pond cleaner and a growiung marketed enzymes is the concentration and the price, guess which is cheaper? Better results with a pond cleaner too i think.
